I buy cards for the pictures on the front and blank inside. I have difficulty writing as my hands shake and to control the pen my writing is tiny so just put lots of love, love or beat wishes and my name . And address the envelope again it is tiny . But if posting make sure house number is large and post code .
Esmay, they pop up because they’re resurrected by Spammers - in this instance hannahdavis. Posters then add to the thread without realizing, for whatever reason, the date of the OP. This one is from 2020.
My local printshop made a stack of unusual cards featuring my mother's art work and a newsy letter . I'd strained my hand badly from pruning and writing was painful . Just another idea !
I don't really bother to write formal Christmas greetings inside . I used to have to write so many cards for my parents, because they liked my hand writing ! I got fed up doing it . Even if I make Christmas cards I just sign my name inside . Have a look The Works -they sell blanks with matching envelopes usually in white ,green and red . You could use an ink pad to add your design and greeting - possibly from Amazon . Or make one card and photocopy it . Lots of other great ideas here . I hope that your hand heals soon -that sounds very painful .
Pantglas2, I've already got labels saved on PC for addresses and my husband can probably sign our names if I nag him enough!
No disrespect jellybean but why the wotsit isn’t he doing them instead of you ? It’s true what they say, when a man marries he need never write another greetings card in his entire life apart from a birthday and anniversary card for his wife - if he remembers!
You can buy A4 sheets of labels and use the Avery templates online to design your greeting, minimal typing, just peel and stick them inside your cards?
If you have a scanner, you could do one signature, scan it in and put onto separate label sheets and stick those in too?
Are you able to print some card inners on a computer? I make cards and quite often do things this way, easy to cut to size and stick inside ... I usually use double sided tape, but a basic glue would do too. You can write your own greeting, plus add in your name.
I've managed to buy a couple of dozen Christmas cards with no greeting inside. I'm unable to write/hold a pen at the moment due to thumb surgery and I'm trying to find some self-adhesive labels printed with a simple greeting - just "with best wishes for a merry christmas and a happy new year" or similar, to stick inside. I've googled everything I can think of but with no luck. Can some clever crafters tell me where to get some? I can type but not without some pain (and I really am not supposed to), so I can't create my own labels in Word. I'd be really grateful for any help/suggestions.
