Hi all
Well I have the knitting bug lately but it is helping to combat depression, so something good is coming out of it. I’ve knitted it for my friends little grandson aged 3. Knitted with James Brett marble chunky - my favourite wool

LadyGracie

Thank you Purplepixie. Are you starting something else now.
I pick up my knitting as soon as I sit down, plain when I'm reading or watching TV and patterned when I feel like concentrating on it which I enjoy more.

I’ve just started a cable hat for a friend for christmas and then I will be back to knitting dog blankets for Battersea cats/dogs home.

Knitting is the only thing I can blow my own trumpet about, I’ve got a draw full of jumpers.

Purplepixie I think I’ll knit my granddaughter your pattern, nice and cosy.

Lovely photos of jumpers .
Well done .
It's my dream to knit a twin set .
I'm always in awe of people who knit .
It isn't my forte .
I can sew , embroider and do my own designs in bead work .

When it comes to knitting - I find it really hard to concentrate .

Did I purl or plain it
? ,I ask myself .
So it's simple scarves and blankets .
Admittedly, I get a lot of interruptions -the phone , people ringing and knocking on the front door and my father wanting things ...

Today , one of my friends came round .
She thumped the hell out of the front door -waking up my father and actually frightening him .

I've politely asked her not to - after all - we're meeting for lunch on Friday .

Thank you. I find it very therapeutic - it helps me pull myself away from the black dog days. Past life plus estrangement.
