Hi all.

I knitted this cardigan using ELVIS dk yarn on 4mm and 3.25mm knitting needles. I bought this yarn after coming out of hospital for major surgery (hysterectomy) and I never thought I would get it finished but I have. Tried several different types of buttons and ended up using these.
thank you for looking.

Well, I don’t knit Purplepixie but it’s fab and I love the buttons.
I bet you’re feeling pleased with yourself 😊

Ooh I really like that.
The colours are lovely.

Is it for you to wear?

Thank you so much and yes it is for me. My next one will be for a very good friend and using the Elvis yarn but in the blue shades.

It's absolutely lovely!

It reminds me of the jumpers that the humans in "Rainbow" used to wear. 🙂

I love knitting but Elvis yarn is a new one for me. It looks great and the buttons are spot on.

MissAdventure Thu 11-Apr-24 14:48:04

You could knit a jailhouse frock...

That's lovely, purplepixie

I'd never heard of Elvis yarn but, from your picture, it looks just like a Sirdar yarn I've used but unfortunately Sirdar don't produce it any more, only in the Snuggly range.

I hope you don't mind, can I download your yarn photo for reference please?

Callistemon21 Thu 11-Apr-24 16:04:41

Oh, made by Wool Warehouse, I just ordered different yarns from them, find them very good.

Purple pixie
You did better than me
When I was really ill I started a jumper but really lacked the concentration. Just couldn’t bring myself to go back to it once better Gave remaining wool to charity shop
Cardigan lovely how many balls did it take
Have you washed it ?

Purplepixie Thu 11-Apr-24 18:54:53

Thank you everyone for you kind words. Knitting keeps me sane.
Yes, download the photo if it helps. I bought the Elvis yarn from WoolWarehouse when it was on special offer for £3.95 instead of £7.20 for 150gram ball.

No, I haven’t washed it yet but I will be wearing it a few times before that.

Have a lovely evening everyone.

Callistemon21 Thu 11-Apr-24 19:39:50

It's half the price of the Sirdar cakes (no longer available).

That's lovely, Purplepixie.
I'm in awe.
