Watercolour Challenge repeats are back on TV.
I loved the original series .
It was so gentle and relaxing with Hannah Gordon .
It's on Sky at 5.00 pm .

That's great your friend doesn't mind Whiff and that you don't mind. flowers I agree its very beneficial to create.

I am a lot more private because I've shared my art in other places online before and since I came to GN and I try to keep my online identities separate so I can stay truly anonymous here.

Yes I understand and I don't feel mine is perfect either, but being creative and losing yourself is the main thing. Sometimes I just do exercises to keep my hand in. Other times it flows into something useful. I just keep an open mind and go with the flow.

Hi Whiff ,

I've also painted on silk - one of my favourite styles .
You can achieve great subtlety with the colours .

My art has really been on hold looking after my father .
At the moment , I'm trying to create an arts space in his extremely cluttered house .

Last year , I tried to have some of my work photographed -but was loath to take it out of the frames . The photographs of my smaller pieces aren't good .

To be honest , my style is distinctive and I prefer to remain anonymous !

Keep painting !

If the World concentrated its energies on art - it would be a far better place !

Esmay I've only painted on silk a couple of times. I'd love to do it again as i really enjoy it.

I agree with you about someone's art having a distinctive style. I felt bad saying it, but I think a lot of people do recognize someone from their work.

Its hard to take photos of art in frames. I found that when I took part in an exhibition. Haven't done that for a few years even though the opportunities are there. It's a lot of effort carting things around. One of mine that I exhibited last time is very heavy and now I don't even know where it is! (Somewhere in the house...)

Mostly I just paint and it goes in a huge drawer. I have too many paintings. Sometimes I don't finish and go back to them years later.

Yes, if only everyone made art and did crafts there would be no wars! flowers

Hi O ,
I painted exclusively on silk for about three years .
It's a wonderful medium .
My latest craze is pen and wash .
I often return to it .
