Yes, I liked the one she did at home.

Liked the painting of the mountain. Liked the fact that it wasn’t a mountain in the distance but was shown up close which gave the impression of immensity and power. Thc colours were like flames and seemed to signify the spiritual side of its impoance

People on instagram who live in the area said they were very moved by the painting.

I thought that her sketches of the mountain during the creative process had more about them. I can see what she was trying to say about the immensity of the mountain in her final painting but for my money she did not pull this off - it felt too contrived and as if she was just trying too hard to be different.

I agreed with her winning as her painting in the final was a well-deserved winner.

I was in 2 minds about her winning because there was nothing in her painting that said Falkirk Wheel to me. Her commission was better and well received.
