Well done! Lovely colour! Enjoy wearing it.

That’s really lovely. The colours make you feel warm and cosy just by looking at them!

Such lovely colours and the jumper looks so well made, do you take orders by any chance?? 😉

Stansgran Sat 28-Feb-26 16:09:59

That looks so complicated. How long did it take you? And cosy but outdoor ish at the same time.

Another beautiful jumper - it does resemble a volcano , if I may say so ….

You are such a talented knitter.

Beautiful, Purplepixie! I love a cable pattern.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Sorry, I don’t take orders. It took two weeks to make.

Very nice.
I like a bit of a stand up neck.

Lovely jumper!
The last time I knitted anything for myself I accidentally did two cardigan fronts the same and never went back to it to finish it. blush

When knitting or buying a jumper, most just consider colour, type of yarn and so on when the shape of the neckline to really suit you is very important.
If you’re not sure then try on a variety of jumpers in your wardrobe, v neck, roll neck, boat neck, round neck and so on.
You’ll soon see what suits your neck, face and even figure.
Only v neck or boat neck jumpers suit me.

Thank you to everyone. Years ago I knitted three sleeves!!! Haha.

Allira Sun 01-Mar-26 13:20:14

I'm going to send you the one I started for myself about 25 years ago, got stuck doing cables up the right hand front and never finished it.

You'll do it in an evening - then you can keep it 😁
It probably wouldn't fit me now anyway!

That's really good, I love the swirly pattern. You're very talented Purplepixie. You say it took two weeks? How many hours would that be, roughly?

My sis in law used to knit Arran cardigans for my DGD when she was small . She used good quality wool and they were beautiful. Lots of people would stop my DD and ask where she got the cardigans from. They were impossible to wear out so DGD would grow out of them eventually and DD would pass them on to one of the admirers.
This was over ten years ago but I bet there is still a little girl about wearing them . Sis in law has lost her sight now so is unable to follow a pattern and no longer knits .

It's really gorgeous and just like a fiery red
volcano to warm you on a cold day .
I've just been given some fabulous mohair .
I think that I shall knit it and line it.

I’d kind that but I’d sent it back to you for you to enjoy.
