I'm in much need of some maintenance so later today am having an eyebrow wax and pedicure - sure to perk me up smile

I coloured my hair myself this morning, plus ate leftovers for lunch, so being a bit frugal ..... but a girl has to have some pampering!

Blow dry once a week. Cut and colour every 5/6 weeks.

Wine is an indulgence??? No, I don't count that unless you mean really good wine grin

Woops ! I forgot about flowers and scented candles either Yankee or Jo Malone (very rarely) if and when there is a sale on at Outlet Village.

books [including for Kindle] jewellery [non expensive!] scarves, handbags,
perfume, Yankee Candles, Swiss chocolate [all the run of the mill stuff really.]

it sounds as if I am buying stuff non-stop, but really the only thing I buy regularly are books, and I try and get deals from Kindle, cos I am a thrifty soul.

Books are definitely an indulgence, but I get them from the library, my sister or charity shops....can only afford them new very rarely. I read a LOT.

And now have to get my hair cut, and feel better with it properly done, but that is a necessity....

A bar of chocolate now and then!

Books especially from Persephone Books. Nice yarn, wool, cashmere mixes with silk, I only knit gloves, hats, small things so not too extravagant. Dower and Hall jewellery for Christmas and Birthdays.

A weekly trip to the cinema.

I love sitting there and the lights going down, it always takes me back to being a child.

bags you took the words out of my mouth re books!
I'm beginning to think a daily newspaper is though, now I have had two months without one.

janeainsworth Thu 06-Mar-14 23:39:38

Ditto a lovely hot bath, after two months in a cramped shower!

Galen Thu 06-Mar-14 23:57:37

Remember that!
The bliss!!!!
A hot bath!
To lie down and relax!

Lunches out with my best friend (still having chemo) at our favourite country pub.

Marty Fri 07-Mar-14 10:13:05

Books, books and more books. Plus once a month breakfast with my best friend, where we have the whole toot to eat. Bacon, eggs and whatnot and have a jolly good gossip and a laugh.

Mine is also lunches out with friends and family. Off to New Mills today, to have a veggie lunch with friend, her husband and my son. Such good company. smile

Our north-west meet-ups come into that category, too! grin
