its a make or break question.

Hot cross buns.

Toasted or just buttered?

Happy Good Friday from a toasted household !

Lightly toasted with butter. Nothing else is needed but a cup of tea.

Any which way is fine with me - I was hungry when I got up so just ate one cold with nothing on it to stave off the pangs. We did try one with bacon the other day like the Sainsbury ad - the sweet and savoury was quite nice but don't think we'll be travelling that road again smile

sometimes split and toasted and buttered; sometimes warmed in the oven, split and buttered; sometimes split and buttered [i like a little bit of hot cross bun with my butter]; sometimes just eaten unsplit and unbuttered ................ depends on how i feel.

Toasted, thick Lurpak and a tiny bit of raspberry seedless jam. In fact I think I'll get one now. I freeze them individually so I can have one when I fancy. I like the hot cross bun loaves too.

No buns but just broken into a Moser Roth egg from Aldi and it is horrible. Tastes stale and with the texture of cooking chocolate. Such a disappointment as their bars are good.

Cold, spread with butter or Lurpak. Have never toasted, don't know why. Old habits I suppose. I saw an ad from Sainsburys for Hot Cross Buns with bacon! BACON!! A step too far in my opinion!

Yesterday's leftovers? Delicious bacon sarnies grin

Does anyone know the best eye makeup for sensitive eyes? My eyes irritate really bad.

Luckygirl Sat 26-Mar-16 11:35:53

In my case accidentally microwaved - I pressed the wrong button!

We needed a new doorstop.

geeljay Sat 26-Mar-16 11:13:03

If they are really fresh, nice with just lots of butter. Otherwise, lightly toast butter and yum!

Nana3 Fri 25-Mar-16 22:10:18

Toasted, lots of butter, with a cup of tea. Scrummy brew.

Synonymous Fri 25-Mar-16 20:15:42

Forgot the buns - hot out of the oven or toasted if the following day. smile

Synonymous Fri 25-Mar-16 20:14:21

No substitutions - butter only! Cows are for calves here so that we get beef and milk. smile

hildajenniJ Fri 25-Mar-16 19:48:06

Benecol, tastier than butter!! No, no. If you must have a substitute Clover is better.grin

NanaandGrampy Fri 25-Mar-16 10:47:36

I think you'll find cows were invented for steak smile

thatbags Fri 25-Mar-16 10:40:01

I prefer toasted teacakes, buttered. I haven't got any of those either, but I do have a creme egg to look forward to this afternoon.

henetha Fri 25-Mar-16 10:24:01

Forgot to buy any! So crumpets as usual for me.

Alima Fri 25-Mar-16 10:22:36

Cows were invented for cheese!

glammanana Fri 25-Mar-16 10:22:26

Toasted or warm must have plenty of butter available please.

Alea Fri 25-Mar-16 10:18:43

Toasted or at least warmed and WITH BUTTER .
If God hadn't meant for us to eat butter he wouldn't have invented butter dishes cows smile

BTW no Easter emoji yet?? sad???

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 25-Mar-16 09:57:23

Cold, spread with Benecol, which is tastier than butter.

Gagagran Fri 25-Mar-16 09:56:50

I always find the bought ones too spicy so we have bara brith with butter instead. Home-made ones are very nice without the heavy dosing of mixed spice.

Indinana Fri 25-Mar-16 09:39:05

Warmed in the oven for 20 minutes so they're crispy on the outside and soft and steamy on the inside. Then buttered. Bliss!
