its a make or break question.

Hot cross buns.

Toasted or just buttered?

Happy Good Friday from a toasted household !

Imperfect27 Fri 25-Mar-16 08:02:06

Vital issue!

Warmed through, buttered smile

hildajenniJ Fri 25-Mar-16 08:05:35

Just halved and spread with cream cheese here.

rubysong Fri 25-Mar-16 08:16:11

Either warmed through or toasted as long as they are hot and oozing butter, (and accompanied by a cup of hot tea).

Alima Fri 25-Mar-16 08:18:23

Nice and fresh and doughy, no grease (butter).

Jane10 Fri 25-Mar-16 08:31:03

In the bin. Toasted cheese loaf and butter instead!

ginny Fri 25-Mar-16 08:33:47

Lightly toasted with Lurpack butter.

Teetime Fri 25-Mar-16 09:00:02

Depends - if its breakfast- toasted if its tea -warmed.

Bellanonna Fri 25-Mar-16 09:01:17

Not toasted, or even warmed. Lots if butter. Tea.
Happy Good Friday.
PS: Fish day here

Charleygirl Fri 25-Mar-16 09:01:31

Thankfully I do not like them!

Penstemmon Fri 25-Mar-16 09:15:09

Hot! The clue is in the title though the oozing with butter is not!! Fresh from the oven is best but I did not make any this year so it was toasted for me..just eaten it..... delicious local bakery concoction!

ninathenana Fri 25-Mar-16 09:22:42

Each half spread with butter.
I do like them toasted but don't often bother.

shysal Fri 25-Mar-16 09:24:33

Just buttered when fresh, toasted when stale. Not having any though [halo]

Indinana Fri 25-Mar-16 09:39:05

Warmed in the oven for 20 minutes so they're crispy on the outside and soft and steamy on the inside. Then buttered. Bliss!

Gagagran Fri 25-Mar-16 09:56:50

I always find the bought ones too spicy so we have bara brith with butter instead. Home-made ones are very nice without the heavy dosing of mixed spice.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 25-Mar-16 09:57:23

Cold, spread with Benecol, which is tastier than butter.

Alea Fri 25-Mar-16 10:18:43

Toasted or at least warmed and WITH BUTTER .
If God hadn't meant for us to eat butter he wouldn't have invented butter dishes cows smile

BTW no Easter emoji yet?? sad???

glammanana Fri 25-Mar-16 10:22:26

Toasted or warm must have plenty of butter available please.

Alima Fri 25-Mar-16 10:22:36

Cows were invented for cheese!

henetha Fri 25-Mar-16 10:24:01

Forgot to buy any! So crumpets as usual for me.

thatbags Fri 25-Mar-16 10:40:01

I prefer toasted teacakes, buttered. I haven't got any of those either, but I do have a creme egg to look forward to this afternoon.

NanaandGrampy Fri 25-Mar-16 10:47:36

I think you'll find cows were invented for steak smile

hildajenniJ Fri 25-Mar-16 19:48:06

Benecol, tastier than butter!! No, no. If you must have a substitute Clover is better.grin

Synonymous Fri 25-Mar-16 20:14:21

No substitutions - butter only! Cows are for calves here so that we get beef and milk. smile

Synonymous Fri 25-Mar-16 20:15:42

Forgot the buns - hot out of the oven or toasted if the following day. smile
