For me it is organising a gardener for my garden/forest that still has not been done, sooo many gardeners have let me down It is a job that I definitely want to get done..

A bit of spring cleaning aswell

Monday Catch up with cleaning as I try to have the
weekend off from it. Shop accessories for our
newly decorated spare bedroom. Change the
furniture round yet again as I'm not happy
with it yet! Make beef stew.
Tuesday Begin my new crafting project and meet a
friend for coffee. Make Moussaka for dinner.
Wednesday Whizz clean house. Change bed.
Shopping.More crafting hopefully.
Thursday Meet old friend for catch up and lunch.
Think about doing the ironing!
Friday Lunch or just coffee with DH as he finishes
early today. Do online grocery shop.

This is a rough guide as I HATE to be tied to set plans all the time! I tend to put washing on as and when and clean bathrooms over most days. I'm usually at my daughter's overnight one night a week for after school care of GC, but I don't have to go this week! Obviously that shortens my week so I'm making the most of the opportunity to do my crafting.
It took me a while to slow down after retirement but I think I've cracked it!

Today.... recovering(!!) from recent family visit and continuing with the laundry involved. Nearly there. An afternoon coffee in local hotel with friend will seal the deal.
Tuesday.... lunch in town (23 miles) with cousin.
Wednesday..... another lunch in same town with different group followed by trip to son/partner house for spell of childminding.
Thursday.... my birthday! Aforementioned childminding for full day.
Friday...... after two sleepovers, returning to town with son a.m. on his daily commute and meeting a friend for lunch en route. Finally home to discover what will require my attention most urgently over my currently 'free' weekend. And so it continues...... BUT absolutely no complaint from me. Very happy to be able indulge in all of the above.

Skweek1 Mon 16-Oct-17 12:51:08

You wonderful people, managing to fit so much into your already hectic lives. I have 4 different hospital appointments, including 2 50 miles apart on the same afternoon. Must change the less important one before I forget! Otherwise care for disabled DH, tiptoe round DS's Asperger's Syndrome funny moods, finish my current de-clutter, lick garden into shape, redecorate house, learn how to use my new sewing machine, daily routine, do on-line study assessments, work on family tree etc, etc. I know not many will get done, but you can live in hope! I think I'll just shove DH out of upstairs window - he's driving me demented at present!!!

Bikergran, you make a very good point. Thank you. I really must get my act together on that score. I'm far too naive and trusting in this modern technological world. It's a pity we have to think in this way but I suppose forewarned is forearmed.k

Fairly quiet week, housework to do, ironing (I've been putting it off for a week or more).

Thursday, Medical for DWP at 9.30, have to be there 10 minutes before & not sure how bad traffic will be. Need to be fully prepared on Wednesday as I will have to take Breakfast & Tablets with me. Early starthmm.

Might fit in a bit of shopping. Some weeks are busy, others quiet. I don't really plan unless I've got an Appointment or meeting friends.

Gardening if weather is ok, very windy but sunny at the moment

I’m going to Cardiff for the week with my daughter and 2 of her children. We are taking her 7 year old to a specialist centre for some intensive physiotherapy following her operation in May. We are hoping for some exciting results as she has shown lots of improvement.

We hope to be back by 6 o’clock on Friday and at 7 o’clock one of my sons and his family willl be arriving for the weekend. We have 16 people for lunch on Saturday and I’m feeling very smug as it’s already in the freezer and the shopping is being delivered by Waitrose on Friday night. I’ve insisted we all go out for lunch on Sunday though as I’m not organised enough to plan for that as well.

A great improvement on most weeks when I would be round at my dad’s cooking his lunch everyday!

M0nica Mon 16-Oct-17 16:27:36

Monday: cleaning, a bit of gardening and Tai Chi
Tuesday: cleaning, gardening, meet someone for lunch to discuss publishing an article in the journal I edit.
Wednesday: Pilates, day time course, go to Witney and, hopefully, buy some clothes
Thursday-Sunday: to our house in France for a short break, unless the hospital finally gets its act in order and calls me in for a final test prior to agreeing to an operation for carpal tunnel syndrome. In which case trip is cancelled and I stay home.
