I fancy having a Buddha

going back to the OP if you want a Buddha then look around first, check out eBay because different ones will speak to you.

The most impressive Buddha i ever saw was in an exhibition over twenty years ago... a massive stature with a sword.......which is a symbol not actually used to chop off heads!!

An angel would be nice.....but would there be room enough for two of us I usually potter around unarmed, I think I've got a plastic sword of my grandson's lying around somewhere but somehow I don't think that would be a good look for me

Yes I agree, a lamb or two would be nice, and a cat would be even better, preferably a real one but unfortunately dear St Francis is not the patron saint of asthmatics, is there one? there definitely should be! my relatives could do with such a saint. In the meantime he will have to be content with a bird perched on his shoulder and one in each hand

I'd like a Buddha, but I appropriated a garden statue of St Francis that my late mother brought back from Assisi and I've always felt his preference would be for some stone animals to share his space with, but my husband deters me on the grounds they're naff

Buddhist monks do incite hatred again Christian churches in Sri Lanka

I was very shocked at the very aggressive Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka and in Myanmar. I'd always thought Buddhists were calm peace loving people.
Us humans. We just look for something to fight about ?

I have five Buddha's including one in the garden,I keep two books on Buddhism on my kitchen worktops..
I also pray most nights to Our Lady..
Me... Buddhist in my aspirations.. Catholic in my complications....

I think it suggests why most religions are slightly warped and have a need to see off threatening groups.

I guess they are all humans. No angels in this world, no matter what their particular brand of religion.
