Cruising with deaf passenger

Hello all
My sister just booked another cruise for us both, over the phone.
As part of all the usual questions she was asked if either of us had hearing problems. She has. Virtually deaf without her aids. Okish with them.
They queried how she would manage - we are sharing a cabin etc but don’t go round on board joined at the hip, of course.
I fully appreciate health and safety matters but would appreciate any feedback and if it’s been a stumbling block when booking, especially if you’ve been going it alone.
Thanks in advance.

Cruised with a deaf friend a few years ago, was only asked about her deafness with regard to safety on board i.e. should the ships alarms go off or it sinks !
They noted her deafness as an additional alert needed in these cases.

Other than that no problems

I would imagine it was asked in case there was any extra assistance needed. In my experience on cruises they are very good with anyone who needs it.
