Thank you so much for the links, have looked and now got some ideas.
Takes me back to when I made my children's birthday cakes, no internet then so had to rely on my imagination - seems imagination dwindles over the years!!
Off to do a dummy run....

On Ebay (or Amazon) there are lots of cake toppers for £2-3 which are very easy to use and can be personalised if you wish. I would recommend the icing ones rather than wafer.
If you don't want to use this cheat's method, try Googling 'Lego cake images' and you will see hundreds for ideas.
Hope it goes well, lucky GS.

Good morning all
My grandson has asked for a Lego birthday cake (he will be 5) and I am struggling.
Got as far as rectangular cake tins, but I am not the most creative person so wondered if anyone had any ideas!
Thank you.
