As petra says FB market place.
I sold DD old car that way. It had a few marks, a crack right across the windscreen and a broken wiper motor. I had about 10 enquires and sold it within a week.
I like in Kent too and one guy came from Essex to view.

Nanou glad Carwow worked out well for you too.

Trade it in for another one. My garage gave me several hundred pounds for a 10 year old damaged car, that I would otherwise have scrapped. Siad it would be a good project for one of his workshop lads, to repair then run.

we sold the car through Carwow. Thanks mumofmadboys it worked very well, negotiated the price online, sent photos. They came to collect it, inspected it and paid me on the spot. Good service, not a problem at all.

Try Gumtree it’s free unlike eBay! Be aware that you will get much less than you think it’s worth!

Thank you very much everybody for your help.

If it has got and MOT still and is safe to drive despite a few dents someone will buy it if the price is low enough and patch up the dents themselves. 10 yrs is not that old these days and it is probably mechanically quite good.
EBay is a good bet or We Buy Any Car, I used them 2months ago very straightforward, cash for you, they send all cars to auction.
If it’s a non runner there will be a local scrap dealer will take it away

Carwow bought ours. Fill in form on internet, they phone you, send pics, they come and inspect and pay you. Worked well for us. It was a 9 year old VW with 98,000 on the clock

hettyMaud true a possible way to sell it.Thanks

HettyMaud Mon 09-Sep-19 19:21:26

If you take loads of photos to include the damage then you can sell it on Ebay. We sold our car that way. It was quite tatty but the person who bought it was knew about cars and was going to do it up himself. I'm sure you could sell it that way

Thanks. Just a dent on the door and wing. Sorry I know little about Banger racers...

notanan2 Mon 09-Sep-19 19:17:23

Banger racers will buy it.

I wouldnt buy a car that had been in an accident even though I dont care about dents or scratches.

Hi Grans,
Does anybody know how I could sell my daughter 10 years old Ford slightly damaged in an accident. It is still a runner and I would hate to have it scraped. We live in Kent.
