Betrayed!

When I come home from work on the bus, I sometimes pass by a handmade, but quite professional looking notice, pinned to the bus stop pole

The heading is 'Betrayed!' and then there is quite a lengthy couple of paragraphs below.

Now, if you were me, would you be interested enough to get off the bus to read it?

It could be up to about 20 minutes until the next bus.

Ah! Thank you.
Nowhere near as exciting as your news then. smile

Best wishes to you and your family.

MissA yep it’s the planning permission fiasco (got out and looked on the way to Hospital, DD is in last stage of Labour and wants me ?)

MISSA could you ask the bus driver or any passengers getting on at that particular stop.

Even if the notice has been removed by the time you next travel that route, the bus driver will still have heard about it several times over from his/her passengers.

Looking forward to an update from GG grin

Oh thanks grannygravy, I did wonder if you'd seen anything. smile

Miss Adventure it could be about the planning application for this side including a new road to your side, we have a few posters on lampposts this side. I will try and have a look tomorrow and come back with what I find (if anything)

Take a picture on your phone of the message and read on the bus :-)

lilydily9 Thu 02-Jan-20 14:36:13

Like others, I would say forget it. Let your imagination run riot and imagine what it might say. I'm pretty sure it will be much more interesting!

MissAdventure

Initially I would have said "OoooH Yesss!"

The I did a "calm down dear" and realised this is an advert. This is like the click-bait things you get on You Tube such as "I know my mother is an Alien" and the content says nothing whatsoever about Aliens or his mother.
Then I thought... Betrayal, most often connotation is in relationships and involves sex. I don't do sex. I avoid all invitations to read about it or watch films with it in.
Therefore, my decision is that:
You stay on the bus.
Forget it!

Sorry I wouldn't care enough to get of the bus to read this.

TrendyNannie6 Thu 02-Jan-20 10:58:49

Agree with threexnanny

BradfordLass72 Thu 02-Jan-20 07:18:45

Political, charity asking for dosh, advertising, a raving looney who's just been dumped, or a Brexit reactionary.

Take yer pick.

Stay on the bus and make up your own story.

Maggiemaybe Wed 01-Jan-20 23:12:10

Oh no, stay on the bus. If it's not about Brexit, it'll be some rant about litter, or picking up dog dirt. Maybe justified, but not worth hanging about the bus stop for 20 minutes!

MissAdventure Wed 01-Jan-20 22:16:34

grin chewy
I bet the buses are still running on Sunday service.

MissAdventure Wed 01-Jan-20 22:13:41

Yes, that seems likely now. sad

Chewbacca Wed 01-Jan-20 22:13:36

Don't you have to pop into town for something urgent tomorrow MissA? Something that you need quite urgently? That you need to get on/off a bus to get?

BlueBelle Wed 01-Jan-20 22:09:19

Bet you it’s a EU statement

MissAdventure Wed 01-Jan-20 22:04:54

Its fluorescent pink.

Chewbacca Wed 01-Jan-20 22:03:44

Or....... it could be Jeremy Corbyn who put the poster up! "BETRAYED!" By xxx thousands of voters and now I'm being hounded out of my job!"

Maybe? hmm

MissAdventure Wed 01-Jan-20 21:57:13

I doubt it would be a very clear picture. Bus windows are filthy!

Namsnanny Wed 01-Jan-20 21:55:46

Are you able to take a photo from inside of the bus MissAdventure?

I agree with lemongrove and Juliet, some political nut ranting on!

Juliet27 Wed 01-Jan-20 21:46:33

Oh snap lemongrove. I hadn’t renewed the page

Juliet27 Wed 01-Jan-20 21:45:30

Perhaps it’s to do with politics. I’d stay on the bus!!

MissAdventure Wed 01-Jan-20 21:44:45

Oh I hadn't thought of that, lemon.
I'd be really cross if its a brexit rant!

Urmstongran Wed 01-Jan-20 21:43:52

Ha! You’re probably right lemon!
