So Who Do You Look Like?

In my youth I was often likened to Sarah Ferguson, but with dark brown hair. I also had/have some of her personality traits - the good ones I'm sure. wink. When I look in the mirror I believe I can see the resemblance.

So who have you been likened to and do you agree?

Callistemon it was a joke, do you remember those. I am still trim and petite but Princess Anne was not the role model I was looking for when I was young. I hoped I was more Debbie Harry.

Gajahgran Princess Anne scrubbed up very well when she was young, there are some lovely photos of her.

Actually, she is still trim, neat and petite

For me it was lulu, who people thought I looked like. Same hair and face shape.

But being an adopted child, no one ever looked like me, until I had my own children.

Sorry PUT my head in a bucket!

So many lovely people on this thread. I am not so lucky. I did once get mistaken for Dusty Springfield by a taxi driver when I was 18 and working for a company that put on fashion shows. I did not mind that too much. On another occasion I was told I looked like Princess Anne, I had to rush off and out my head in a bucket!

In my teens, Cher, (before the surgery) and now Jane MacDonald, which happens a lot and yes I do like a nice pie?
Would like it to be Sophia Loren, but there you go...

I've read all of your posts. It's been a great way of imagining what you all look like.smile

Was told I was a cross between Princess Anne and Barbara Streisand. Ha Ha.

I've been likened to: Stephanie Powers, Dani Behr, Ruby Wax, Bette Miller, Olivia Newton John and - I kid you not - Marilyn Monroe! I guess people see different things and a lot of it in my case depends on my weight at the time and my hair which tend to alter the shape of my face and others' perception. Funny though!

Susannah York back in the day.

Some of my ex husband's family said I looked like Bette Davis!

I was only in my 20's, hopefully they meant Bette Davis in her youth! grin

When I was a younger woman, I was told I looked like princess Diana. A real compliment although I couldn’t see it myself.

Princess Margaret (by two different people);and Audrey Hepburn. Now I look more like my Aunty Jane!

Shall have to wait until the middle of July to get to the hairdresser, so at the moment I think I look like Lucy, our beautiful cocker spaniel whose ears nearly covered her face as my hair does now!

Only been like myself!!

FranT Sat 27-Jun-20 14:39:29

Diana Rigg from The Avengers, I still can't see it, but lots of people can't be wrong I guess.

Elderflower2 Sat 27-Jun-20 14:39:17

Hayden Panettiere, or perhaps her mother now wink

Fascinating to see the "link" in facial features which encouraged people over the years to liken someone to Cilla Black (her hair for me) and then Patricia Hodge and then years later, Camilla Parker Bowles. But I've had those same famous names used to describe me. So, I deduce from the posters on here who mentioned these names - Peardrop50 for example - we must look like each other !!

In the 70, in the days when I used contact lenses, a woman I vaguely knew used to march up to me and shout "Isla!" in my face. And she always pronounced the 's'. It was most disconcerting. I think she was referring to Isla St Clair of Generation Game. Not too long ago Isla S C was on a celebrity quiz show and yes, I still look like her but now of course I sport glasses and she didnt. Wimp! Cuddly Toy anyone?

Peardrop50 Sat 27-Jun-20 14:18:55

In the 60s I was often told I looked like Cilla Black but then she had a nose job and I was never told again. I have since been told I look like Patricia Hodge, but not recently. My father-in-law used to say I laugh like Basil Brush but fortunately he never said I looked like him. Nowadays friends tell me my humour and attitude remind them of Maureen Lipman but not my looks.

Anita Harris, remember her?! So many people commented on it and I was asked for her autograph several times. Strange how others perceive you!

Thecatshatontgemat Sat 27-Jun-20 14:04:23

I was often told that l looked like the dark haired one from ABBA. I could see what they meant, but her hair was shorter than mine and darker, but facially, we did look alike.
My mum, always looked uncannily like our Queen, and she was small in stature too. Always weirded me out, still does!

When I was in my 20 s I was on holiday in Majorca .There was an elderly German staying at the same hotel .He kept repeating to himself ‘An English Mirielle Matthieu‘ a French singer in the 60 s every time he walked past me !
Then much later on on another holiday this elderly lady kept staring at me and said It’s Jade is nt it please can I have your autograph .The late Jade Goody !

I’ve never been told I resemble anyone except my Dad and he was bald?. Not sure if I should be upset or relieved. I’ve now, in older age, metamorphosed into my Mum ?
