Minding my own business this afternoon when I got a call from Octopus Energy. Looks like I might be able to save money on my electricity and gas through them but I didn't want to commit before having a chance to look at the quote etc. The caller kept on giving me one reason after another why I should sign up today so that I didn't "miss out". She couldn't guarantee prices wouldn't go up, this was such a good deal etc. When I categorically said that I wouldn't be making a decision today she became more persistent. Do any of you have experience with this company? Their unit charges and standing charges are less than my current provider and I could fix these for 12 months but leave at any time. I might be able to save about £30.00 or more each month. Your opinions please.
