Apart from the obvious like chocolate, cake and crisps are there any foods you still eat which you don't tell your friends about? Only my Best friend knows that I eat Pop Tarts, Findus Crispy Pancakes and Super Noodles. I don't eat them every day but they are my guilty secret. ?

Nanna8, what is a lemonade scone?

grandmajet Tue 16-Feb-21 22:53:36

Fish finger sandwiches on white bread and butter with tomato ketchup, so much that it oozes out when you bite! Yummy!

Aldi’s almond chocolate, all cheeses, bacon, ham, pizza with goat’s cheese, lemonade scones with cream and jam, bread and butter pudding, grapes and dates. Cheesy potato bakes. Soy sauce.

i had bowel cancer, my consultant asked what my diet was like, i had been living on cold meat and salad sandwiches for about a year, he said the cause of the cancer was processed meat, i am now supposed to eat proper meat 4 times a week, i only like chicken (prefer it if it's kfc) but only so much of it i can eat, consultant blew his top when he found i was back to cold meat, i stupidly said but i eat sweets, crisps and drink pepsi, he did laugh and say ..well it is your body, i thanked him and said... if it's for you it will not go by you...lol

Gummi Bears, but I don’t feel guilty and it isn’t a secret ?

FarNorth Tue 16-Feb-21 19:19:07

Biscoff spread
Chocolate Peanut Butter

I don't bother spreading either of them on anything. I just eat a (large) teaspoonful when I fancy something sweet and / or if I feel frazzled.

Ginsters Cornish pasty or hot sausage roll with tinned spaghetti hoops.

DanniRae Tue 16-Feb-21 19:13:39

I love bread and milk with (lots) of sugar - it's got to be white bread!
I never open a tin of baked beans without having a few spoonfuls of cold beans straight from the tin.
My Saturday dinner - cooked by Mr R - is fish fingers, oven chips and peas.

I'm so glad that I asked this question ?. I am loving the answers. Some of the food choices are so mouth watering. My Chief of Food Police will soon be going away for work for several weeks so I think I am going to indulge in some of my naughty food. Cue evil laugh.

BigBertha1. You can’t possibly live with the Chief of the Food Police, because that’s my title (according to my DH!). ??

Missfoodlove Tue 16-Feb-21 18:29:48

I am the food Police ( type 2 husband)

I’m good apart from salt and vinegar chip sticks.

My husband has a stash for if I go away, his faves are; Fray Bentos steak and Kidney pie, beans, beans and more beans, thick sliced white bread ( I make all our bread) fishfingers and Arctic roll.

I think he’s getting fed up with me being here permanently!
He did ask recently how long the Fray Bentos was good for.

A super noodle sandwich is nice. smile

bikergran Tue 16-Feb-21 18:13:13

I'm reading this whilst tucking into my Sticky Toffee pudding with extra thick double cream on grin

Jaxjacky Tue 16-Feb-21 17:43:30

Not particularly unhealthy but gross, cold baked beans from the tin...sorry ?

LadyHonoriaDedlock Tue 16-Feb-21 17:25:45

Haribos

cornishpatsy Tue 16-Feb-21 17:24:15

Pizza with mayo and crushed cheese and onion crisps on top.

Witzend Tue 16-Feb-21 17:23:05

I do love a Pot Noodle now and then.
And any fish fingers left over after Gdcs’ visits.
Ditto any little boxes of microwave chips. My excuse for buying those is that if Gdcs are starving after we’ve been out, they’re super-quick. Plus I can have any that are left with pickled onion vinegar.

Crumpets with loads of butter.
Really fresh jam doughnuts
Toasted teacakes with butter.

Now and then I buy a jar of Heinz sandwich spread and devour the lot - on far too much bread - within about 48 hours.

MissAdventure Tue 16-Feb-21 17:11:34

I've just seen crispy pancakes mentioned.
I love the cheese ones, made into a sandwich (white bread)

Maggiemaybe Tue 16-Feb-21 17:09:38

Chip butties on white, dripping with loads of salt and butter.
Nutella by the spoonful.
Red pesto from a jar, ditto.
Cadbury’s creme eggs, even the new, inferior version.
Tinned tomato soup.
I don’t hide my cheese habit, but friends might be surprised that even the DGS’s Babybels and Cheestrings aren’t safe.

I’ve got others that are a bit embarrassing, but not particularly unhealthy. Cold tinned tomatoes and crab sticks for starters.

MissAdventure Tue 16-Feb-21 16:56:57

Chips, crisps, Chinese food, anything I fancy, really (although when the heartburn appears, I usually regret my greed)

muse Tue 16-Feb-21 16:33:35

Tunnocks Caramel Wafers
MacDonalds, crisp chicken wrap with garlic mayo. I know! I know! but it tastes so good. There is salad inside.
Toasted crumpets with butter and melted cheese. (mixture of blue stilton and cheddar.
Thornton's cappuccino chocolates
My SiL's brownies. Please come and see us soon when safe to do so.

No food police. I have to have my own self control with these. Mr.M likes them all as well except the macdonalds. He has a subway spicy italian subway sandwich grin.

timetogo2016 Tue 16-Feb-21 16:14:13

Cheese toasties and crisps are my guilty secret food and i love dipping chocolate in a hot cup of tea mmmmmmmmmmm.

EkwaNimitee Tue 16-Feb-21 16:09:46

I’m not supposed to eat red meat because of the iron content but I do though I have cut it back. My favourite winter dish is a nice chargrilled venison steak with red currant jelly. Still one or two left in the freezer I hope.

janeainsworth Tue 16-Feb-21 16:08:28

Well you can all relax.
There's no such thing as an unhealthy food, only an unhealthy diet.
None of the above are going to kill you.

But perhaps not feeling guilty about eating them would actually spoil the enjoyment IYSWIM.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 16-Feb-21 16:05:51

Chief of the food Police! Surely you’re old enough to eat what you want? I probably eat far too much chocolate. I recently rediscovered raspberry ruffles, which I love. You can buy them at Amazon.
