I've not long had breakfast but it was very meagre - a bit of granola and yoghurt. I'm quite well stocked with goodies but can't decide what to have and need some inspiration.

What are your eating plans for the day?

Kate1949 Thu 13-Jan-22 11:35:47

Toast and tea for breakfast.
Same lunch as yesterday - soup and a roll.
Tonight we'll have jacket potatoes topped with cheese and bacon.

Just a quick cup a soup and fruit while we’re looking after the littlest grandson, then I’m promised a seafood risotto for tea.

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 13-Jan-22 17:18:58

My usual breakfast (banana, muesli, marmalade toast, tea and pineapple juice)
Lunch was a bacon sandwich on brown bread
Dinner will be a cheese soufflé recipe which I have made a few times. It’s actually a Simon Sharma recipe.

Snap, Maggiemaybe we’re having seafood risotto too, cooked by ‘himself’! ?

Kim19 Thu 13-Jan-22 17:30:18

Had a late lunch of risotto in local hotel today. Delicious and will see me through the remainder of the day apart from drinks.

Possibly a mushroom omelette for lunch and cod and prawn stew with fennel for dinner.

I have had goat's cheese on toast this morning and lunch will be chickpea curry. I like that I can have vegetarian days without having to find meat alternative.

Riverwalk Fri 14-Jan-22 10:39:25

Feta & beetroot frittata for lunch, and spinach & chickpea curry for dinner.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 14-Jan-22 10:43:11

Just baked some soft whites for lunch in the January sunshine on the seafront. Will stuff with cheese or ham salad. Two spare if anyone cares to join?

Riverwalk Fri 14-Jan-22 10:46:40

They look large baps!

TillyTrotter Fri 14-Jan-22 10:49:00

Oohh please fill mine with ham and salad (bit of coleslaw too?) and I’ll just put my coat on and join you Josieann. I can almost smell those lovely rolls.

Some great menus today. When Friday comes round I’m a bit exhausted of ideas.

I’ll invite myself for lunch with you Riverwalk and then go to have dinner with * BBevan* ?

MiniMoon Fri 14-Jan-22 11:11:02

I'm planning on making a butternut squash, prawn and spinach curry.
You're supposed to use Thai Red curry paste which I haven't got. I'm going to use a korma paste pot instead. I'm sure it will be good.

Grannmarie Fri 14-Jan-22 11:38:25

Weetabix and tangerines for breakfast.
Home made lentil soup for lunch.
Pasta bolognese for dinner.?
Both meals from my batch cooking last week.
Great thread, Riverwalk, lots of ideas for a change of menu. ?

2 coffees and a banana for breakfast.

After that I went swimming so I had a big fat bacon and grilled tomato sandwich on granary when I got home because I felt I'd earned it and then some fresh fruit and Greek yogurt a bit later. That was a breakfast and lunch combined.

2 cups of tea pm

Both sons here which is unusual, so have made a Goan chicken curry, it's meant to be made with fish but I changed it to chicken with Basmati rice. After which we'll have various cheeses, biscuits and grapes but in particular a Camembert which my husband tells me reeks to high heaven, I only bought it yesterday, but he insists it should be eaten if only to get rid of the smell. and as they are both staying the night we'll have some wine too

Grandmadinosaur Fri 14-Jan-22 20:42:59

Bacon, egg and grilled tomatoes for breakfast.
Lunch was Tomato and basil soup with a couple of pikelets. An orange.

Chilli and prawn linguine a yellow sticker bargain for 63p in Morrisons for tea. Berries and yogurt after.

Blondiescot Fri 14-Jan-22 20:50:07

Homemade roasted vegetable soup for lunch - we were supposed to be having steak pie for dinner, but my four-year-old grandson loved 'granny's soup' so much that he insisted on having it for his dinner too (with crusty bread).

kittylester Fri 14-Jan-22 21:26:23

French cream cheese on crusty bread, topped with sundried tomatoes.

Sirloin steak, baked mushrooms, gf battered knife tings and real chips.

Jaxjacky Fri 14-Jan-22 21:42:18

Weetabix with prunes and blueberries at 12, small bowl of lentil soup, plain yoghurt and banana about 2. Beef casserole with mixed root veg, mashed potato, sprouts and broccoli at about 7:30.
