I've not long had breakfast but it was very meagre - a bit of granola and yoghurt. I'm quite well stocked with goodies but can't decide what to have and need some inspiration.

What are your eating plans for the day?

DIY lunches as usual - often more like a brunch for me - but a stir fry tonight, with some leftover roast chicken bits from the freezer, loads of veggies and noodles. I use one of the little sachets of sauce, but always add garlic, ginger and red chilli, otherwise we find them too bland.

I usually use red chilli and ginger pastes - the little jars from Asda are brilliant.

Haven’t eaten yet as doing 16/8, about 12 I’ll have weetabix with prunes, blueberries and banana. Chilli for dinner, mine with brocoli and cauli, MrJ with rice..

Soup and crackers for lunch, then a tangerine. Son and partner are arriving in the afternoon for a sleepover and have requested sausage, eggs and chips for dinner, so that's easy.
(vegetarian sausages).

My usual breakfast of frozen mixed red fruits with Greek yoghurt and granola.
Lunch was gyozo bought for my veggie daughter’s visit but which wasn’t eaten, and an easy tea of Aldi’s cheese and onion quiche with salad cos I’d been for a big grocery shop.

I do my version of the 8\16 and now mostly(!!) eat twice a day. A very healthy brunch elevenish and then a less healthy indulgence around four thirty. Today's was a bacon brioche and remainder (half) pizza. Lovely.

We went on a pillow buying jaunt today. Beforehand we had lunch at Cote. I had French Onion soup and Breton chicken. OH had olives and fish stew. For pudding we had crepes stuffed with praline and chocolate and served with caramelised bananas and cream. Yum.

Lunch: root vegetable pie; diced root vegetables stewed with baked beans and marmite, topped with a cheese and suet pastry crust, and cabbage, followed by stewed rhubarb.

Supper: Home-made vegetable soup with bread, to be followed by an apple.

Slimfast I think
The Christmas half-stone added to the lockdown stone has proved disastrous sad

Slimfast two days a week for me too. I got to target weight the week before Christmas but six pounds have crept back on over Christmas and New Year. I have a Slimfast shake, two pieces of fruit and a protein pancake on fasting days and don’t usually feel hungry. If I don’t take control now I will be a stone heavier very soon as I put on weight very easily and because of back problems I can’t get as much exercise as I should. We gave away surplus Christmas chocolates to our DIL to take to work the weekend before last. We still have two boxes of biscuits but will leave them until the expiry date.

Thai fish cakes and sweet chilli sauce for lunch.
Will see what I feel like for evening - maybe not a full meal.

Sausagemeat and mozzarella pasta bake thing tonight.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 11-Jan-22 15:32:38

Kippers for breakfast.

Cheese and biscuits with pickled onions for lunch

Lamb Tagine for dinner

Kali2 Tue 11-Jan-22 12:16:21

Pork fillet with wild self foraged morels and field mushrooms (dried and re-hydrated) with mustard and cream, boiled potatoes and leeks (frozen- as we are in self imposed quarantine).

Vanilla ice cream (no Greek yogurt due to see above) and fruit of the forest (from frozen) sauce.

Winter wonderland out there and very cold- so need warming up food.

Sarahmob Tue 11-Jan-22 12:08:52

Left over leek and potato soup from yesterdays dinner for lunch and pork chops in mustard sauce with lots of veg for dinner

Maggiemaybe Tue 11-Jan-22 11:58:18

Boiled egg for breakfast, fish pie with veg for tea, some sort of small supper at our pub quiz later. Something on the go for lunch- maybe a Pound Bakery cheese pasty (they’re really good!).

Riverwalk Tue 11-Jan-22 11:16:10

Lunch will involve a salmon fillet - that's as far as my planning has got!

Pudding123 Tue 11-Jan-22 11:11:27

A very un inspiring cup.a soup( Thai )with a bowl of salad..still can't taste much ( salty or sweet) due to Asymptomatic covid March 20.
I had Chicken Kiev for tea last night thinking I may just be able to taste something but all I could taste was the roasted broccoli with sesame oil...it is very depressing.

henetha Tue 11-Jan-22 10:40:32

I've got two sweet potatoes which need using up. So I will have sweet potato mash with something... fish fingers maybe.
Also 4 eggs which need using, so scrambled eggs for lunch.
(just using 2 eggs). I'm still not very hungry.

Witzend Tue 11-Jan-22 10:39:17

Lunch here is a DIY job, we each do our own, usually at different times.

Dinner today will be a sort of hash - most of the leftover Christmas gammon, cubed, mixed and heated with plenty of fried potato and onion, and then a lot of cooked green cabbage, chopped, mixed in.
It’s one of dh’s favourites.
I need to remember to boil the potatoes in advance, so they’re cold before cubing them for frying.

BBbevan Tue 11-Jan-22 10:35:39

Just made a cottage pie with the last of the beef. Swede and potato topping. My Dad called that’stunge’ but I don’t know why. Scrambled eggs on toast for lunch I think.
