I am very negative. I haven't got a positive bone in my body. My life has been negative. I have found that in the past when I've tried to look on the bright side, something horrible happens. I find it hard to see anything nice about life. I find life frightening. My husband is the opposite and for some reason puts up with me and continues to be positive.

I'm positive Pollyanna. I think I have become even more so as I've got older. I realised I had spent a lot of time feeling negative about things and worrying about negative outcomes and that even when bad things happened the world rarely came crashing right down and there was still good stuff happening. It made me look on the bright side a bit more.

Yes I'm afraid I am, a bit of a glass half empty person, I don't like that about myself sad it's often bound up with worrying, which I think women are more prone to do.

There is a positive about being negative though, life can only get better smile

Positivity here, though I do work very hard to make sure I have back up plans B through to Z up my sleeve before embarking on anything major. In some people's eyes that would count as negative worrying I guess - just a matter of perspective.

Yes, unfortunately I am a real worrier, glass half empty etc. But you wouldn't know it if you met me, I'm really outgoing and sociable!

People who throw words at someone else are usually that way themselves. It’s a built in defence mechanism I have been told I am opinionated. I can be so I don’t argue about it but the person who said it is extremely opinionated.
People in glass houses term comes to mind if someone does not like what they hear they throw it back.

I tend to be a "glass half empty" person, always seeing the potential downside of any situation and I have been called negative as a result. A course of CBT has helped and I'm working on being a bit more upbeat (but not turning into Pollyanna).

I am a positive person, but my DH the exact opposite.

The words Serendipity and negative do not belong in the same sentence. smilesmilesmilesmile

I have recently been told that I am a negative person

I definitely don't see myself that way. I have come through a lot in my life and feel that if I couldn't see the positives I would not still be standing.

So I don't really know why I was called that. I do admit though that I feel more comfortable dealing with criticism rather than some one saying something nice
