Loo paper

Cheeky Panda bamboo toilet paper is quite soft and doesn't disintegrate like some other kinds. Before anyone points out that it is made in China, I know that, but it is made from waste bits of bamboo, which is grows fast and is therefore more quickly renewable than wood. Because it's strong, you don't use as much as you need with the disintegrating kinds. (Other brands are available )

Any toilet paper is preferable to the squares of newspaper threaded on string I grew up with, that later graduated to The Dreaded IZAL paper, my auntie and my stepsister both worked at their Chapeltown factory, so we got it cut price, it was horrible.

I remember that too! Izal in little square boxes.
Also I remember visiting a small local cinema with newspaper squares on string. Oh, the good old days!!

I use a product called Wype (yes really). Squirt a few drops on the paper and hey presto an instant wipe without adding to the sewage system and reduces the amount of paper needed. Packaging is recyclable.

Lucca it works really well. My daughter’s sewage pipe needed some attention recently and I was horrified to see that wipes had contributed to the problem. Vegan as well if that’s an issue.

Our loo rolls don’t seem to last as long as they used to, think they must be reducing the number of sheets in a roll.

Libman if that’s a dig at me I would only find it intrusive if you wanted to know how often I pooped.

However I didn’t - I was simply reflecting on a number of adverse comments to this type of thread seen recently. I am entitled to express an opinion and a thought as are you - or I could just scroll on.?‍♀️

I find the cheaper, firmer toilet paper (the kind you get in pound shops) far superior in use to all the fancy big brand ones

Cushelle is the best I've tried. It dosen't disintegrate

I think they now make loo paper that disintegrates easier so that it is more eco friendly and doesn't add to blockages in sewers .

Yes TMI, I’m always finding little crumbs of tissue on the seat etc - it’s a nuisance. I use Andrex
