Could I please ask where you bought your teddy bear sheets?

I too have flannelette sheets but last winter I thought ohh blow it and purchased what I call teddy bear sheets. Ohhhh my life, unbelievably luxuriously snug, so snug I can't wait to get into bed and sooooo snug that I don't want to get out hahaha.

Best invention ever. No cold sheets when you get in and the duvet cover snuggles round you so well. I have to replace the bottom sheets more often as they eventually go flat but still warm. Usually I buy replacements in the spring clearance sales.

I hang them out if weather is sunny they dry fine. If it's not fair weather I put them on landing bannister they dry no problem.

I remember lots of fluff on the carpet when I had vinaigrette sheets years ago. Are the new type better? Can you recommend a brand/store please I hate getting on a cold bed.

I used to love flannelette sheets, didn’t know they were still made. I couldn't sleep in fleece but might get some flannelette. Quite excited at the thought, as for drying wait for a good drying day, I don’t use tumble dryers and always manage to get things dry, finishing of the airing on a clothes overnight in the living room.

You might like these too, they offer a heavier weight.

Brushed cotton comes in different weights, I do recommend the Belldorm at 180g.

Nowadays I see them called brushed cotton. Don’t hear flannellette nowadays.

I believe my MIL called her sheets Winceyette Flannelette. We just call the 100% cotton, brushed fabric - flannel. Very cozy.

We have a fitted bottom sheet, pillowcases and a top sheet, all flannellette, topped by a winter tog duvet then a bedspread. And if that is still not enough we have more throws and bedspreads. At night in bed, our heating is off, so it’s economical to do this.

I have just acquired fleece bedding! - quilt cover, fitted sheet, pillow cases - they are an absolute joy!! And they machine wash and then dry in a flash on a rack. They are like a big hug!

We use flannel sheets, Oct thru March, usually. A bottom sheet, a top sheet, a cover-less duvet, another top sheet or sometimes a wool blanket (depends how cold it is outside), then the bedspread.

His Mum did it that way, works well. She dried inside on hangers in the air closet. I use the tumble dryer, fluffy and soft.

We use them every year. 2 sets per bed, one in one off drying. Worth every penny and keep you nice and warm. We all use them in the family. Mine are from John Lewis.

They do take a while but they are worth the wait ?

I’m considering getting flanelette sheets. I remember them being cosy but I also remember my Mum complaining about how long they took to dry. Do modern ones still take as long?
