if you know when they were born you could try the government registry office site, they have deaths recorded up to 2021. it helps if you know the area they lived in when they died

I find rightmove.co.uk sold prices handy to find it friends have moved, there is a delay of a couple of months from sold to on the site. If they owned their own home might be some help to see if sold or not, good luck

When you send cards, do you put an address label for you on the back. I always do that, and more than once have had a communication from someone to tell me the person has died

I tried that site and did a search for both my parents - I couldn't find either of them so it is not particularly reliable.

No Christmas card last year so I will wait and see what happens this year. One thing I’ve thought of doing is writing a letter and posting to a nearby neighbour.

Try going on the towns local page on FB and ask if anyone knows this person as you want to contact them it often works a treat I ve seen that on our local town page and there’s always answers which might give you a clue

You could try the government probate search site, you will need year of death but you can try all years since you had heard from them. It is free unless you want a copy

Could you contact your old work place Hellogirl?

They might know, perhaps work pension or other staff members might have more up to date information.

I have a similar problem. My supervisor from when I was working has always sent a Christmas card, but nothing for the last 3 Christmases. I still send to her, but have heard nothing for 3 years. If she`s still with us, she`ll be around 86 years old. I don`t know any of her family, so don`t know who to ask.
