As a youngster I always liked the coffee creams that were included in many boxed selections. Over the years these seemed to be fazed out. Imagine my delight this morning, I had been gifted a small box of Black Magic by my lovely neighbour and to my delight there was coffee creams included in the selection.
What's your best or least favourite in a box of choccies?

I was a student nurse in the 70’s and many patients would give a tin or box of chocolates when they were discharged. The coffee creams, strawberry creams and the hard toffees were always the ones that were left until last!

Coffee creams are my favourite too, but so hard to find. I love anything coffee flavoured. I don’t like orange creams or soft caramels.

I hate the creams - especially fruit ones! Love marzipans, coconut, nuts, noisettes etc. Then fudges and toffees.
When I was young, (60 years ago!!!) I used to feed the creams to our dog!!!! My father went mad! Happy days….

My favourite has always been Quality Street's penny toffee and I've never been keen on the fruit flavoured cremes.

I used to like the lime creams - can't remember who made them. My grandmother used to squash up the remaining creams and stir them into her home made ice cream - my picky sister never twigged! Happy Holidays everyone.

Dislike coffee, strawberry and orange creams and now avoid toffees since one pulled out a gold inlay (the dentist stuck it back down). Like Turkish delight, pralines, fudge, truffles. Green & Black Ginger chocolate is my favourite.

I used to love the Black magic coffee creams.I remember it as a soft runny cream but the ones now are hard and very disappointing !

Both my parents loved coffee creams but both disliked coffee to drink.
My favourite in the ROSES are the purple one, the orange cream, the nut swirl and golden barrel.
Strawberry being my least favourite.

I don't like caramels or most toffees and really dislike ground-nut pralines, except almond. I find most creams just too sickly. So not one for mass produced chocolates then?!

I meant to add I don't like coffee creams, but used to drink coffee.

I wasn’t particularly keen on coffee chocolates until my lovely niece sent me a box from Hotel Chocolat. Absolutely delicious!

I received 4 boxes of chocolates. All dark chocolate. I really don't like dark chocolate.

I loved the butterscotch. Disliked coffee and orange creams.

I used to get a pack of the paper foil wrapped butterscotch for Christmas, love good marzipan too, ansolutely loath Ferrero Rocher.

Worst of all were the strawberry creams with orange creams a very close second. I liked the coffee creams though but best of all were the hard centred ones.

HillyN Mon 26-Dec-22 15:15:11

I dislike fruity cream chocolates. I used to quite like the coffee ones but not enough to seek them out especially. My favourite chocolates are anything nutty, toffees or caramels (but NOT salted!). I also hate anything 'flowery' like violet/rose creams or Turkish delight.

Does anyone remember the lime cordial half barrels in milk tray. I used to love these as does anyone I mention them to from my generation. Interested to know if anyone else remembers them

I've always loved the Guylian box of solid Belgian chocolate seahorses and sea shells. Everyone in the family knows that the seahorses are MINE!! Last year there was a whole box of seahorses only, slightly smaller than usual, but bliss... This year I received a "Guylian' box of tiny seahorses with soft toffee filling...nothing like the ones I love... The chocolate was also inferior.... I couldn't find the seashells boxes anywhere. Why oh why do things have to change...? Christmas just wasn't the same this year...

There isn’t one I don’t like, unfortunately

Nannina Mon 26-Dec-22 17:18:49

Don’t like any of the creams, not really a lover of chocolate but if push comes to shove i’ll have a nutty one

poppysmum Mon 26-Dec-22 17:41:29

I love toffee pennies and toffee fingers but always seem to pull out my fillings with them!

aggie Mon 26-Dec-22 17:41:57

I love them all ! I daren’t have one , especially if it’s a big box !

Catterygirl Mon 26-Dec-22 18:22:53

I bought Black Magic in B and M. Meant to open it for family today but everyone was so full. So it’s coffee and orange cream for me. Mum used to love the orange cream so I would have the coffee. Not a big chocolate fan but love violet and roses. Best ever is Leonidas white chocolate manon with a hazelnut. Struggle to eat the nuts nowadays. Just threw my Easter egg in the bin as there was no room in the fridge.

Coffee is my favourite - yummy!

SparklyGrandma Mon 26-Dec-22 18:55:09

Coffee creams every time too, *ParlorGames’..I mourn their removal from various chocolate offers.

A few weeks ago I came across a retailer House of Bruar who sell boxes of coffee creams.
