An almond croissant. I love 'em but there was too much marzipan in it. Plus it is very against my diet.

Home made leek and potato soup. Made it last night, ate some then, kept the rest for today and have just polished it off.

It was probably enough for 6 people, but Iโ€™m obviously greedy blush.

Nothing.

Iโ€™ve been in bed all day. I did a Covid test that was negative, but Iโ€™m feeling exactly the same as when I had Covid last November. My husbandโ€™s just persuaded me to take a few sips of soup, but Iโ€™m not sure itโ€™ll stay down. ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿฅด

Smashed avocado, poached egg and baby tomatoes on sourdough toast and a glass of white wine on Newcastle Quayside earlier - it was raining, so weโ€™d taken cover!

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, carrots, baby corn, tender stem broccoli, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding. Then after a brisk walk out in the cold, round two: Blackberry and apple crumble and cream.

We had , us and son and grandson, granddaughter was tied up with a sleepover with friend so she missed, roast beef with roast potatoes, roast parsnips, broccoli, carrots, Yorkshires, gravy of course with a choice of vanilla or salted caramel ice cream to follow. Digesting now that was at 4.30 too late for lunch really, but too early for dinner

Kipper fillets and bread and butter. The fan above the hob is still on to try to get rid of the kipper aroma!
