Air fryers seem very popular, thinking about buying one - but which one ? Your recommendations please - will be very welcome.

My DS & DiL bought one, and they love it. They've been encouraging us to get one, but whilst DH really wants one, I didn't really fancy it as I love to cook, and I use my oven a lot.

I thought it was just going to be yet another gadget to find space for in the kitchen! However, I've finally succumbed! Would've loved the larger 2 drawer Ninja, but they're not sold where I live, and the cost of Amazon's overseas delivery was around £76.00-£100.00+ ... no thank you!

So, I've gone for a Philips Premium XXL Airfryer, with a 7.3l capacity. It wasn't cheap, but I've bought it locally, so there's no delivery charges! It's a surprise for DH for his birthday!lol
Looking forward to him using it this weekend ... I'm sure he'll be absolutely thrilled!grin

We bought a Ninja A400. It has two drawers which can be set to finish at the same time or just to match. Anything that can be done in an oven can be ready quicker and at a lower heat. It air fries wonderfully well especially sausages which cook through better than in a frying pan. Your only restriction is what will fit into the drawers so would recommend the largest capacity one. I really love it.

I have noticed just the last week or so lots of secondhand air fryers being sold on Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace.

If I were you I would google air fryer recipes and see what people are cooking in different types. There are a million websites and YouTube channels in different countries - some use baskets, some use drawers, different sizes, different makes. I have the basket type and air fry whole chickens but couldn't do that in a smaller one or in trays - some air fryers actually have rotisseries! Think about what you like to cook and how many you are cooking for.

I have a Uset Air Fryer. I paid £70 for it on Amazon. I can't remember the last time I used my oven

I have used the same Ninja for several years. I have used all the functions but the air fry and oven are the ones I use most. I had to get used to the shorter cooking times but after a little bit of trial and error, I now find it easy to adjust. I find it less of a faff to clean and bits can go in the dishwasher.
So far, I have no complaints and I would recommend a Ninja to anyone who usually cooks small quantities. I generally cook for two.

A bit unrelated but watched Stacey Solomon dry rose petted in air fryer.

Lowest setting and watch carefully.

Going to try drying herbs next year
