What’s wrong with the guide on the tv that’s all I ever use

We are happy with the one in The Times . We used to have The Guardian and they had a separate little booklet which was very good.

The Independent on Saturday has a good TV guide, also pages of puzzles for all levels, and weekend chat stuff - life and holidays and where to go events etc.

Try it one week.

Probably less "chat about celebs on Tv stuff" but clear well laid out straightforward with recommendations.

I'd describe politics as middle ground and well informed but its not just the big politics - it has little bits of news on all sorts of interesting stuff and little quizzes.

There are many tv guides for sale, you don't have to buy a newspaper to get one.

I buy the magazine. Mail most popular newspaper by far. I do choose what I read though and suppor their many campaigns.

We use The Culture in The Sunday Times.. Covers lots of the Arts and all the TV.

I use thé one in The Times on Saturday, good reviews right across the arts, I enjoy the book ones. It has pages for various quizzes and crosswords at the back, I used to get The Times every day when I worked, now only this one.

You can get three months of the Mail in digital form for a pound a month. That gives you the paper 7 days a week . I must admit I cancel before it goes up to the normal rate then apply agin in DH's name . I enjoy reading it online and it follows you wherever you go on holiday .

The i - excellent, unbiased and great value for money

I have just stopped buying the Daily Mail on Saturday, and use the Sunday Times culture magazine on a Sunday instead. I find it helpful as it highlights new things on Netflix that I would probably miss out on otherwise. I find that the ordinary TV programmes, which would be listed in Daily Mail not worth watching any way. I know that is only my opinion. Also Monty Don finished writing in the Mail over 1 month ago. I miss him too.
I know that at now £4 the Sunday Times is expensive, but I like a proper newspaper and there is enough reading matter in there to last me over breakfast time all the week. That's when I read the paper, only whilst having breakfast.
I am stuck in my ways at 78 years of age, but the £4 is one of my little indulgences.

I still have the Radio Times , rarely buy a newspaper sometimes the “i” . I like the radio times for the radio programmes , crosswords and puzzles and also some of the features.
It works out cheaper than daily newspaper.

We still have the Radio Times. DH has paid for this for more years than I care to remember. I do like the articles, mostly, but when I looked at the price recently, it gave me conniptions.

We still get the Radio Times as well. It’s a lot cheaper if you buy it on subscription.

You can look it up online on one of the many free websites. I use the Radio Times one. I also have the TV and entertainment supplement in our regional newspaper, The Western Daily Press, which we buy on a Saturday.

I really prefer a hard copy of a TV guide.

Me too. After all, you can’t go through the double Christmas edition with a felt tip and circle all your favourites on a website. Though this might just be us. 🤶
