I’d advise legal advice from a solicitor specialising in family law. The criminal proceedings may delay public law proceedings concluding. You don’t say if care proceedings are planned or whether the la is trying to avoid care proceedings. A solicitor would clarify that. Local authorities sometimes try to work in what the call a voluntary basis, that avoids care proceedings.
