How often do you wash your hair?

I’m almost 66 and am lucky to have a head of thick hair (I have a chin-length bob with a fringe.) But I HATE the process of washing, drying and styling; it takes me the best part of an hour. I’ve started leaving 4 days between washes as it doesn’t seem dirty but I know frequent washing is the norm these days. When I was young I only washed it once a week! How often do you wash your hair?

Better not to wash your hair often as it strips it of natural oils, if you can get away with 4 days, then great! I bet your hair is super shiny and healthy

Mamasperspective - I do think it depends on how you wash it, your own unique hair, the products you use (or don't use), sun exposure and the life you live.

Two people I know have "not very nice" hair and don't wash it very often. I do wash mine every day and it's remarkably soft and shiny (so says my hairdresser). I am pretty careful with my hair though as I swim regularly and am aware this is potentially damaging.

The correlation is not necessarily causation.
