My go to place would be Lands End but the blue isn't very nice.

I'd like straight leg smartish ones.

Thank you!!

Kitty
If you’re on NextDoor there is bound to be a seamstress on there. Then you can get exactly what you want.

Cotton Traders or M and S maybe?

Bon Marche’ ?

Bon Marche. Your best bet. Very cheap , well made, compared to other makes.

I have some from M&S code T592135T Jersey twill straight leg trouser £27.50
They wear well and have the benefit of an elastic waistband that is well hidden. I have black and navy and I am looking at the green for this autumn

And also Roman

Have a look at QVC kitty. Kim and Co specialise in jersey trousers. .I’ve not tried them but reviews are largely good. You have a 60 day return window.

M&S. I have two pairs. One of them is wide leg and the other straight leg.

If you want to push the boat out Brora have some fabulous jersey trousers. They're not plain navy but ' textured weave' . They are very, very expensive but so warm and will last for years. I bought similar ones in their sale in springtime and would love another pair. I've actually sent off for them to try them but will probably return them and wait to buy them in January sale. If I love them I'll keep them as I think sometimes worth it to pay more for something that will last for years. It's cost per wear so can work out cheaper long term-

Any good?

M&S jersey trousers

I have been browsing at M&S and found this: www.marksandspencer.com/jersey-straight-leg-joggers/p/clp60589050?intid=mobile_app_pdp_share

The Cotswold Collection trousers look very smart. I also like the shoes worn by the model.

Aldom Fri 18-Aug-23 08:58:59

I see the Cotswold Collection jersey trousers come in three leg lengths, which is very useful. 27,29,31.5.

M&S jersey trousers

Another big yes for the M n S range from here, different leg lengths, choices of some elastic or not on waistlines, comfy, smart.

I can see lots of deliveries and returns going on here.

Thank you all for your help.

kittylester Fri 18-Aug-23 09:13:45

Like the Cotswold Collection ones. I always dismiss that make because they look smarter than I do - maybe the trousers would help. grin

I would have thought M & S or Edinburgh Mill. There’s always the online shops but make sure they do free returns etc.

Candelle Sun 20-Aug-23 11:42:24

Uniqlo. I have many pairs, straight leg ankle and full length. They wear and wear and wear, well, you get the drift! They all look like new after several years.

Back to the footie.....!

I bought a couple of pairs of these earlier in the year. They are cut for larger sizes so I'm not sure if this is the brand for you:

The fabric is quite thin but they hang well, and the "Live Unlimited" brand is sold from their own site as well as others.

Roman, Yours Clothing the list is endless. Shopping Channel: Kim & Co. I think you need to look further afield than the high street e.g. the internet.

Baggs Sun 20-Aug-23 12:25:26

Try Lands End.
