Holiday insurance

Try an insurance broker. It’s sheer madness not to have insurance when going abroad. He might be a good rider but he can’t say that everyone else on the road will be good drivers (most unlikely) and of course there’s always the chance of injury through some other cause, or illness. You are not being unreasonable Bertha - he is. And irresponsible.

I have (unusually quickly!)managed to get an appointment for him to see the Dr on Friday so I'm hoping he will say there isn't an underlying condition that needs further investigation. DH says he's still going with or without insurance (I'm unreasonable wanting to stop him going without insurance apparently.... Whereas I feel it's irresponsible to do so).

Firstly I think he needs to go back to the GP and clarify what the scan means, if it is clear , then he might still need some form of treatment, if his symptoms have gone then the GP can confirm this with an Insurance Company, in which case he can probably get Insurance.

Crazy to go on holiday abroad these days without Travel Insurance.

That seems quite odd because in the last few weeks I had a scan which showed kidney stones and they still insured me.(just a few pounds more)It’s further up the thread.🤔

Tried several but with no luck. When he asks why he's refused when his scan came back clear, they suggest he must have an undiagnosed condition that sent him for the scan in the first instance.

Could he try a different company?
