Makeup for a tween to try

My Dgd has her 12th birthday soon and wants to have some makeup to ‘play with’ at home.

I have got her a clear mascara, a tinted lip salve, a blusher and some face wash and moisturiser recommended for a tween.

She would like a skin tint as well. I stress she will only be trying it at home, and I’m equivocal about it.

Nevertheless, can anyone suggest anything suitable? I may as well get her something she wants for her birthday.

Yes, any girls who perform in dance shows know all about make up, though stage make up is different in its heavy application. My 12 year old DGS uses subtle eye shadow occasionally and often paints her nails.
I think she might use Mac products?

I’ve driven myself almost mad looking at stuff for tweens so thanks for the suggestions.

Dgd goes to a dance/theatre group. She wears makeup for performances, but doesn’t cake it on.

Apologies, I just found a post-- her mom is ok with makeup quite young. There's your answer. Not ok with our daughters and theirs, too young.
