Totally agree. I had a persistent cough and wear mini pads all the time and yes they hang over the edge of the gusset . Irritating.

Just fold the pad in on one side, so it sticks to itself, still sticks to your brief on one side and either end too. I find that works for me. I use the Tena lady long panty liners, which are very absorbent and feel comfortable in the narrow briefs.

But with the period pants for oops moments do you squelch and put on fresh ones or do you not notice any squelch? Asking for a friend.

Oh a minute drop and I get sore so definitely change immediately. If you wish you can always buy a cheap mini liner and stick on top if it is just a drop or two. That works too, but I am always petrified of smelling, so to be safe I change.

I recently bought some Tesco knickers that looked exactly the same as the ones I normally buy from M&S the only difference is that the Tesco ones have much wider gussets.

I’ve started buying ladies undershorts. I feel much safer now, plus, if I have to lay on Drs couch and lift my dress up for a ‘tummy feel,’ shorts are a great coverall for wandering / overhanging pads!

I've just bought Stripe and Stare - Gogo59 and I must say they are very comfortable. On special offer too.

Also knickers with the stitching a little higher too! Nothing worse than the seam in the wrong place. So uncomfortable!

I’ve made my own knickers for several years now. I can adapt the pattern to my liking - double height waistband, etc. They are so comfortable! All my bought ones were consigned to the dustbin.

Yes, I’m very disappointed with M&S knickers.
I also favoured the midi style but when I bought them again,, they didn’t resemble the old style at all.
Also, the gussets Were far too narrow.

Why did they have to change them?
The material used was also poor quality and several pairs frayed around the legs,

Will have to try different brand.
But I also prefer a larger gusset to accommodate pant liners.

The Flexfit high rise shorts style seems to have adequate gussetage, I find.

(I like the word gusset! It's delightfully old fashioned and can only be exactly what it is!)

Highly recommend these from Matalan. Available in high leg version also. They are very comfortable and wash well.

I use Anyday from John lewis. No frills or lace but very comfortable and not expensive,They wash well too.

Don't have a gusset problem, length, width or breadth.

I like high legged, no VSP fom Tesco.

Having had 2x C sections and a hysterectomy cut on the same bikini scar, resulting in an "apron".
Gussets aren't a problem but where the top comes too, I hate waist/ full knickers.

Another vote for Sloggis! I buy the largest size available and they are so comfortable - don't drop down or cut in anywhere.

I always used to buy M & S Hi leg knickers but I always buy a size up. I've recently changed to the shorts type and find them far more comfortable and they actually stay round by bum! lol

Matalan - 3 comfy pairs in different colours - £8, and they wash well!

I stopped buying knickers and bought the shorts style instead, they are similar to Spanx control but very lightweight.

I wear shorts too, so much better, more comfy, better fit
