I wonder what people choose to do when the weather is awful cold and wet.
We have recently bought a record player and are busy going through a box of LPS we never got rid of. So glad we kept them
Memories are popping up everywhere.

I have decided to clear the clutter from the cupboards on my sideboard, been meaning to do it for about six months 😂
Hopefully once I get started, I will be on a roll and can do a bit more elsewhere 🤓 (but there will be no breath holding)

I’ve been out pushing snow around my drive, then back to back Midsomer Murders. Just trying to decide if it’s wise to take DD2’s Little Dog out for a walk - it’s cold, windy, miserable and even the dog doesn’t seem keen!

Hi, have to move a bit because it's cold indoors too. The heater doesn't warm the place much. I have LPS, but no record player. I wish I could play them, take me back in time .
Like 'Shinamae', I'm going to do some clearing out and catch up with my TV recordings, shows. I like MasterChef and Four in a Bed.

I will do anything rather than be out in this weather. There's been a lot of snow here so the snow melt is adding to the soggy picture outside.

I need to walk my dog and not looking forward to it. Hoping it will be a quick one as she hates the bad weather.

I am making Christmas puddings and brandy butter.

Later I am going out for a meal with friends and on to a concert in a church, where my friend will be singing.

We’re staying in. One son and his wife have been to visit and now gone home to watch a film, the other son and his family are still here.

Had a sort out of some clothes.
Now I might work through more of my yarn stash.

Might make a Christmas cake tomorrow (a bit late, I know).

Went out did some shopping for get together tomorrow, prepped fruit for Christmas cake, cuppa, feet up watching Return to Paradise, love Australia.

Preparing dinner as I have family coming round later. Giving the house a good clean to make it fit for guests.

Isn't it stir up Sunday tomorrow? Perfect timing then.

We sorted under the stairs and the shoe cupboard and are working on the smallest bedroom. We’re saving trips to the tip, the shoe/clothes recycle point and the charity shop till it’s not so wet. Hope that happens soon!

Oh good!

Puddings and a cake might be a step too far though.

I have lost my little book of passwords, addresses, tel nos and financial details. So I’ve been ringing Banks etc to try and sort it out 😫

Charleygirl5 Sat 23-Nov-24 15:50:15

I have never baked a cake in my life and I do not like Christmas puddings. I much prefer savoury.

It is wet and miserable in London. Very dark but now I am home having topped up in case we have a few inclement days, at least it is not cold. I switched the heating off before I went out about 3 hours ago and have not needed to switch it on yet.

Oh no 🤦‍♀️ hope you get it sorted
Is it lost or misplaced? If it’s misplaced in the house? It’ll turn up when you’re not expecting it to.

Apart from snowy dog walks, I've been catching up with a programme I like to watch, some reading and I've just made a batch of cheese and pickle sausage rolls for dinner.

Greyduster Sat 23-Nov-24 16:04:12

Bit of reading, bit of knitting, bit of Gransnet, making a fish pie for tea…..

Marg75 Sat 23-Nov-24 16:04:28

We had a lie in this morning, under a lovely feather duvet! This afternoon, teaching myself to crochet and watching Sky Sports for the football results. A match later followed by Strictly. DH painting Dinky models 😂

lixy Sat 23-Nov-24 16:06:04

I have a tricky bit of knitting to redo. Didn’t do it today as doing the housework and won’t try tonight as it’ll be better in the daylight tomorrow. Really hoping it works out this time as the rest of the piece is straightforward.

Visgir1 Sat 23-Nov-24 16:11:56

I have had a good crack at Christmas wrapping.

NotAGran55 Sat 23-Nov-24 16:12:20

A bit of office work this morning, I then planned an afternoon and evening outing to London next week.
Currently listening to my football ⚽️ team win away 😳 , whilst giving myself a manicure and pedicure.
Strictly 💃 🕺 on the TV and a glass of 🍷 tonight.

I love threads like this, a little peep 👀 into other’s lives.

I've darned a sock and revisited a Dickens novel.
