If you live alone, what’s a typical day?

I’m 67 and it’s just me and the dog. My daughter lives close by but I don’t have grandchildren (yet.) I like my own company but have been feeling a bit aimless recently as I’m recovering from surgery and am not as active as usual.
A normal day would be two dog walks, meet friends, chores and a bit of shopping.
Interspersed with reading and in the evening a good series/film on TV.
I’m hoping to do volunteering for Age UK and in my local cathedral.
I do feel I spend too much time being idle though and am experiencing the occasional feeling of loneliness.
How do you single ladies pass your time? Do you ever feel lonely?

Widowed and I was never alone my whole life, until that suddenly happened. 76 now and widowed at 67

I am never idle, always things to do, basics like making batch ready meals, knitting, spinning, sewing. House and garden maintenance. I recently got an allotment and that is filling much of my time lately. These are springboards for groups and clubs, if that is what I want

From spring to autumn I go cycling as much as I can and that sets me up for the day.

Whatsapp conversations daily with my siblings and AC and good chats with a sister several times a week. Fast walks around town, around the ancient buildings and past gardens, always greeting people on the way

It is down to me, loneliness is not in my personal vocabulary. I am content and love my life, I adapted

Thank you for all your lovely posts, single or not!
I do nearly always love my single life but reaching out to you lovely lot when I was feeling a bit lonely has reminded me how good it can be and that I have so much to be grateful for.
It’s all in the mind…❤️

Trying to find lots of things not to do......"
