Cream floor tiles-big mistake! How to clean?

Fortunately our kitchen is tiny. We made the mistake of putting down cream porcelain floor tiles thinking it would make the space look larger which it does. But they just look dirty all the time. Today I have been down on my hands and knees trying to clean them but they still don't look good close up. Two questions: does anyone know of a really good way to clean them? Alternatively is there something I can put over them? I could use a rug but it would need to be washable and cut to shape? Despairing and wish I'd bought the black/grey/white patterned ones. Too late now. No wonder these were on special offer!

It's not the tiles I have a problem with because they are mottled but it's the cream grout that is impossible to clean. Any ideas anyone?

Buy a cream coloured grouting pen.
Like a big felt tip, with coloured grout (or maybe paint?)
Then just colour in your grouting.

Try a rubber broom and ordinary floor cleaner or Cif. If you use Cif you will need to rinse. I used to get down on my hands and knees to scrub but only once a year. Also a friend uses one of those motorised scrubbing brush.

I've got cream floor tiles ... I doubt they are perfectly clean. That get a bit of a clean once a week ... in between I live my life and just let it be.

Me too. They were in when I bought the house. I don’t stress, Mop weekly and just spot wipe occasionally if I spill something.
My friends haven’t deserted me (yet) because of sloppy house cleaning.

Why do you think I’ve got brown grout❓
I have tried a steam cleaner on grey grout we inherited in a bathroom with a fair degree of success
If it works I believe you can get grout sealing job but could the grout be scraped out and regrouped in darker colour say brown

It's very odd about light tiles looking grubby, get darker ones, as with cars it works the other way round, a black or navy blue car seems to show every speck of dirt, white or off-white are more forgiving?!

Buy a steam floor cleaner and use it daily. My tiles are cream and always look clean, even when I had dogs.

Daily? 😯

grin
The point is, some can be done morning, noon and night and still look grubby.
Who wants those??

Yes so do mine.

It reminds me if the time that a mistake was made and I had vast areas of almost cream carpet to keep clean .
I was assured that the carpet was stain proof and it certainly wasn't.
It was a disaster !
Can you superclean the tiles and put some sort of sealant over them ?
I don't know if it's possible .
Otherwise I'd cover them with vinyl or kitchen carpet .

I’m just about to replace mine with LVT wood effect flooring, for precisely this reason!
