Online shopping from Tesco

I imagine Internet security with Tesco is more or less the same as with any other big retailer. Choose a password which nobody else can possibly guess. Don't use your name, birthdate, house name/number, phone number or the names/details of anyone close to you (you'd be surprised how easy it can be to guess someone's passwords from that information!). Don't forget your log-in details or tell anyone else what they are. Countless people have given confidential information to someone they thought was absolutely trustworthy - until it turned out that they weren't!

I use online Tesco. Generally good, only occasional substitutes. Drivers all friendly, and always pet my dog, although apparently they are not supposed togrin

We started online shopping during the pandemic. We have continued with it as it's been great. We tried Asda first. They were useless.

We moved to Tesco and can't praise them enough. They keep you updated on your delivery time. The app is great. The drivers are pleasant and helpful. On the rare occasions we have had substitutions, the driver asks if we want them or not. They send an itemised receipt by email. If anything is missing from your order they let you know. Any refunds due are paid into out bank without delay. Brilliant.

I've used online Tesco for many years, never had a problem. Definitely spend less as not tempted to buy items not on my list

First time I bought far too many bananas but children thought it was great. I think now you can order by number required as well as by weight lol

When suffering from back problems delivery drivers will bring shopping through to kitchen

I have a Tesco delivery regularly. I find they are quite good and the delivery drivers are very helpful. The dates on the food are usually what I would expect if shopping myself.

If you don't mind a lucky dip of delivery times within a 4-hour slot, you can get a Tesco delivery very cheaply without buying a pre-paid delivery package. It's worthwhile shopping around and doing the sums comparing the cost of delivery packages and dividing it by the number of deliveries you'd want per month. Also, somebody told me yesterday that Tesco's delivery is free to people over 65. I need to look into that myself as I have a delivery coming tomorrow which they're charging me £3 for!

I used Tesco a lot for online shopping during lockdown. Not too many substitutes and those were quite intelligent. Though I once ordered five kiwi fruit and got five bags But the delivery man took the extras away and I was reimbursed immediately? Use by dates were usually quite good, though often fruit, like figs was labelled that it was nearing its ripeness.
And of course you save money as you only get what you ask for.
In your situation on-line might be a godsend. But I have gone back to actually shopping now, asI like to see what I buy.

Wondering about whether to open an online account with Tesco or no - given that I'm very wary of online shopping in the main. However, right now - and I think I've broken a toe and walking is painful and not sure how long it's going to take before getting back to normal.

What are peoples experiences of getting their shopping online from Tesco? Good, bad or indifferent.

First and foremost question in my book being re Internet security. But I'm also concerned with whether people get the same quality of goods as they'd pick out for themselves in person (eg fruit/vegetables/dairy being fresh).
