Face masks and imminent cruise

Need some advice please.

We are due to go on QM2 next Sunday for 7 nights med cruise.

DH and I have both had heavy colds and wracking coughs for around 10 days. Fever has passed and we’ve both tested negative for Covid.

I’ve got some face masks and some cold/flu tablets to pack.

I’m hoping we will be fine.

What would you all do?

Go you are highly unlikely to still be infectious by then.

Having had a cough and felt unwell recently I'd certainly take some masks to try and protect yourselves, your immune system may still be a bit weak but you have another week so you may feel on top of the world by then. Enjoy what sounds like a luxurious cruise.

Definitely wear an FFP3 mask - for yourselves, in case you pick up any virus, and for others who may not have a great immune system.

I've just come off a cruise with my 96 yr old mum, some people were wearing masks (mainly Japanese but not solely). I took masks , gloves, & sanitizer .. we never wore our masks but glad we took them.

I hope you both enjoyed it.
There were a couple of 85 year friends on our recent cruise who said it was the best way to travel at their age, but 96- that’s a great achievement.

We have high grade disposal masks, and yes we read about Norovirus, hopefully a big deep clean was done!!

Go and enjoy yourselves.
You're considerate enough to have tested for Covid and
are negative.
Take your masks with you and if you feel uncomfortable you can always wear them in the crowded parts of the ship.
