Personally I don’t have any Christmas sweaters etc but I do have a necklace/pendant of a reindeer I rather like. Here it is.

What do you have.

That's a lovely pendant. I don't have any special clothes for Christmas. I must be a bit Bah Humbug!

Santa earings is my nod to christmas 🎅

Love it Kate!

I have a grey jumper with sequined stars on - Sainsbury's I think.

And an appalling one with a few reindeer with bobbles for noses. I don't wear that one.

I don’t wear ‘Christmas clothes’…. Jumpers, earrings etc. But on Christmas Day, or going out I have a lovely dark green velvet dress and some reasonable jewellery.

Can’t we persuade you Kitty to try on the sweater with the bobbles, it sounds fun 😉

I have a dark green sweater with sequins. But I do have a red dress which I’m toying with wearing this year as I’m not cooking -hooray. I also have a sparkly Christmas brooch - Christmas bells which I always forget to wear.

Trinnie and Susannah once said that a red top with black trousers was 'tarty'.

I might wear a red, slightly glittery jumper and black velvet trousers. tchgrin

I gave an Asda Christmas jumper...its about 5 years old ...

I am wearing a red jumper which is liberally festooned with sequins. I was out for Christmas afternoon tea with friends

I've just bought a dark blue sparkly top from John Lewis, perfect for going out for Christmas meals because it isn't too warm. Also because it's stretchy!

HowVeryDareYou2 Fri 12-Dec-25 17:53:55

That's an usual necklace, very nice. I've bought a patterned dress for a lunch on Tuesday, a pair of velvet trousers and a nice patterned blouse for a meal out next Thursday, a velvet dress for going out on Christmas day, and a red Christmas jumper (Christmas trees on it) the family coming here on Boxing Day

I have a jumper tucked away in the back of the wardrobe which is black with beads. It was from C&A, must be about 35 years ago now! It had shoulder pads (removable). 😁

Allira Fri 12-Dec-25 18:03:42

Yes, clothes with shoulder pads are fashionable right now (late 2024/early 2025)
😲

I bought some reindeer earrings from Next last year and am currently wearing them.

Chocolatelovinggran Fri 12-Dec-25 18:09:44

I must be Scrooge, because one of the joys of being retired from my career in Early Years Education is that I do not, now, have to wear anything Christmassy!

Beechnut Fri 12-Dec-25 18:14:25

I have several sequinned cardigans, velvet trousers and a brooch.

RosieandherMaw Fri 12-Dec-25 18:15:19

I have some “shimmery” wide leg jeans a style I like so I got them in black/silver and dark blue/silver. I’m thinking of the black ones on Christmas Day with one of these jumpers.
On Boxing Day I might wear the blue/silver ones possibly with a blue polo neck and a “statement” silver necklace
We’ll just be us (D1, SIL and 3 children and outdoors will certainly feature so we won’t be “dressing” ) on Christmas Day and going out to a Gastro pub near Chesil Beach on Boxing Day.

I love the idea of "reasonable jewellery." I take it you mean tasteful and restrained, not the ubiquitous, tawdry Christmas tat.

I usually wear a dark blue, very plain velvet dress on Christmas day with no jewellery. Perhaps I should wear some reasonable jewellery.

Exactly Magenta8. No light up reindeer or swinging Santas. Mostly plain silver.

Esmay Fri 12-Dec-25 19:22:19

I'm wearing a huge red crazy Christmas jumper .
Rudolph has a big red bobbke on his nose .
I saw people smiling at it on the bus .
I would have preferred a tasteful bottle green decorated with pine trees one .
I couldn't find one in my size .

Otherwise I have some glittery frocks lined up and underneath I'll be wearing thermals .
I bought my stuff in charity shops.

Kate1949 Fri 12-Dec-25 19:44:59

I have this. Predictable? Moi?

cornergran Fri 12-Dec-25 19:48:17

One very bright and undoubtedly tacky Christmas jumper lurks in my wardrobe. It’s at least five years old and is for the 24th and any visits to friends who also wear tacky jumpers. A bright red sequin covered top for any Christmas meal outings. A red sweater with lines of silver sparkles for the day itself, its three years old. Nothing new this year, trousers or jeans that are already in the wardrobe. A bit bah humbug? Not really, just happy with what I have.

Mr C has one Christmas jumper, at least nine years old, which may be worn for one day - or maybe not grin.

I've never really been into Christmas jumpers, but a couple of years ago I found one I liked in Sainsbury's. It's black, with a gold and black cheetah in a hat, and some gold stars. I don't wear it on Christmas day because it would be far too hot with all the cooking going on, but I've worn it for several meals out and people have liked it.
