I had this ring made using my beloved mum’s garnet and some peridots were added to flank it. I intend to wear it every day but is it too blingy? I do love the colours and will be careful not to bash it. It makes me happy just to look at it and it makes me feel close to her.

The ring is beautiful, and it has sentimental value, wear it daily and with love. Me and my husband had been married for five years and my mum had given up talking about grandchildren, when I told her I was expecting, she was ecstatic. She took me to the jewellers and bought me a very blingy ring, seven diamonds in a flower shape, I've worn it every day for 35 years, it represents the love my mum has for me, an only child, and the absolute excitement of the prospect of her becoming a grandmother for the first time ❤️. It doesn't bother me what other people think about it 🤷.

That’s a lovely story about your mum and I’m glad that ring adorns your hand every single day.
My ring is being resized and I can’t wait to get it back. Thank you all for understanding what it means to me 💕

How lovely to have such a gorgeous ring to wear in memory of your Mum.

You have had a clear consensus here, LaCrepescule, and I'll add my agreement. I think you should enjoy it - jewellery was made to be worn, wasn't it?

My wife wears a similar ring for high days and holidays, for everyday and work the usual compact wedding band and engagement rings.
Days out probably 4 rings necklace and ear rings

Nice combination of stones. I’d certainly wear it and I’m following Queen Victoria, who wore large rings to detract from ageing hands, so it’s certainly not too bling for me!
