Vintage Cash Cow - good, bad, indifferent?

I sent them a box of mixed stuff, mainly broken jewellery, a silver plated item, nothing of any great value. I was happy with the process and with the £35 I received. An easy way of getting something for nothing, really. I’m not sure I would include anything of real value though.
NB if you don’t like the price they offer, you can ask for everything to be returned to you.

I used it once and was not impressed with the price I was given I could have asked for the items back but didn’t
I wouldn’t use it again but I m sure others may give you successful stories

We sent some old cameras, some old jewellery and some silver plate. I would have liked a little more but was reasonably happy. It was easier than trying to sell the items individually.

I was quite pleased with the amount I received for a few items, I could have got more if I'd sold them on Ebay but it's a lot of hassle having to take photos and then package them up and post etc.

Several of us in our Book Club used Vintage Cow to raise a bit of cash last year. None of us received more than £50 - some quite a bit less, but the process is easy and straightforward. One of my neighbours wasn’t happy with the amount they offered her, so had the items returned - they were well packed and sent quickly, with a very pleasant note.

I sold a load of stuff to them when I downsized - I figured I was never going to use the silver plate fish servers that were a wedding present to my Grandparents and neither would my own children - and lots of similar heirlooms.

I got a paltry £140 for the large box I sent to them, BUT, £140 more than I would have got to keep them in my sideboard for another 40 years. I wouldn't go to them if I had something of definite value, but it's a quick and painless way of getting rid of things that you're never going to use and get a bit of money for them.

My friend used it and was very pleased with the price offered. You can always refuse and ask for items to be returned.

I think they are laughing all the way to the bank I know you can get the items back, but I bet most people don’t bother and they offer low prices they must be making a killing

One lot I got a good price for. Another lot - mostly cameras, etc., - they refused. I gave up at that point.

I got more than I expected and was happy with an easy way to sell some bits.
