Which British song sums up the 1960s for you?

I’m doing a presentation on the 1960s and thought I’d start it off with a typical piece of music.
As the talk is of life in England - our experiences and recollections, I’d like to be a British group or singer.
Thank you

I can’t get no satisfaction by the Stones. Very apt just now in the UK.

Dedicated Follower Of Fashion by The Kinks captured the obsession with fashion at the time.

Late 60s, hippy, psychedelic - 'The Hole in my Shoe' by Traffic.

I was a huge Beatles fan, practically anything by them.....but Procul Harum's Whiter Shade of Pale was number 1 for so long, in fact all summer in 1967. Somehow with the completely incomprehensible lyrics and dreamy music borrowed from "Air on a G string" it had a kind of zeitgeist that defined the later 60s. It still transports me right back there whenever I hear it, I'm 13 again!

Hi Ho Silver Lining - Jeff Beck. A good dance/party song, with a 'shouty' chorus.

Marvin Gaye "Heard it through the Grapevine"
Beatles "Hey Jude"
BeachBoys "Good Vibrations"
Animals "House of the Rising Sun"
Otis Redding " Dock of the Bay"

Too many to mention it was truly a wonderful era for outstanding music.
