All this goes to show is that basically we are all " very nice and very caring "friends to all.

Annie you are being so brave. I have seen you be a source of wisdom and strength to many on GN since I joined and can appreciate how difficult each day must seem for you when you are feeling so lonely. I'm sure you know of the poem Footprints but have included the link anyway. Another one I often read at anxious times is Desiderata x

Oh that poem Footprints brought tears to my eyes. I do know it but had forgotten how poignant it is.

I stitched Footprints into a sampler. Desiderata I try to live by, often fail but still try. Thank you x

ann I think many of us who are believers say quiet prayers for those who are suffering in some way. We do not always mention these prayers on threads as sometimes this can cause a problem for non believers (not all but some). We know that annie has faith which is, I think, why so many prayers have been included in this thread. You too are included in my prayers ann as I know how hard things are for you and your family. Annie is the first one who posts prayers to help others in need. It is now our turn to support her in any way we can, with prayers, kind words or just thinking about her. I hope in some small way all this caring helps a little

My thoughts are with you and for all those who have lost a child.

Annie, I have only just read this post and my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for your loss and that your family cannot find it in their hearts to reach out to you at this terrible time. People find it very difficult to understand mental health problems and don't always realise how much their lack of understanding can hurt. I'd have done exactly the same as you but probably with less restraint!
No doubt you will have a long, hard road ahead of you on the way to healing but if letting it all out on here helps, please look to us for support.
