Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

Love reading in bed much to my husband's dismay - I tend to do it only when he's on night duty but then the problem is I read too long and am shattered come morning!

My favourite place to read is in bed. I can turn the heating off and save money, and have lovely warm feet!

I like to read wherever I get the chance, when I get some peace and quiet. Usually I just read at bedtime rarely getting more than a few pages in before sleep insists on asserting itself. This is a sorrow to me as I love reading and feel a bit hard done by. However, I did used to be an insomniac, can't have it all I suppose.

I love to read on holiday and in bed, reading makes me relaxed. I love reading thrillers, supernatural and romances. All can take your mind of things and you feel like you are in the story.

Can read anywhere as long as it's completely quiet; no radio, music or background noise of any kind [although can switch off in places like airports if I have to].

Sitting in my hammock in my garden in the summer with a tall glass of ice cold cream soda

On the train, there is nothing more relaxing than getting stuck into a book and looking up to see the view constantly changing.

I love reading (summertime) lying in the shade, on my sun lounger , trusty boxer dog by my side. Drifting in and out of sleep...

I love reading (wintertime) lounging on my sofa .... not a sound , only the clocks ticking... and my trusty boxer dog snoring by my side. Also cosy in my bed, until I drift off to sleep.

Like Galen.... sitting on the loo.......if I am constipated........ it must help me relax !!!! (sorry) feeling embarassed now.

Thank you to Gransnet for sending me some lovely books... you have helped me pass many an hour..... getting lost in my read.

My favourite place to read is either curled up on my large fluffy swivel chair in my living room or snuggled up in my bed with my nice warm duvet.

My favourite reading spot is on the sofa, snuggled under a blanket, in peace & quiet. I usually have a dog curled up next to me, it is the perfect place for a couple of chapters or 7!

salzsnapz Thu 13-Nov-14 12:04:49

I love reading anywhere - in the garden, on the beach but most of all, tucked up in bed at night

sc00ter Thu 13-Nov-14 13:16:42

I just love to read propped up in my bed with loads of pillows.
Its so relaxing and quiet. I have a cup of tea and a few biscuits next to me on the bedside table. Perfect.

pepicola Thu 13-Nov-14 13:25:23

In bed usually - it's the only place I don't get disturbed by the kids
