I love the constant sunshine!

Breakfast in the garden on sunny summer mornings, watching the bees gathering pollen from the flowers in my patio pots and listening to the birds singing. Heaven on earth.

Being in light clothes; seeing the grandchildren [any children] near-naked running around, playing with water, in the park and generally having freedom.
Sitting out in the balmy evenings, starwatching.

An awesome collection of books!

My favourite thing about summer has to be the weather ... warm, yellow sunshine sunshine, the bluest, blue skies, birds twittering in the distance, butterflies floating across the meadow flowers, a cool breeze blowing away the last vestiges of the winter blues.

It's great to wake up in the morning, pull aside the curtains and be greeted to this - instant 'get-up-and-go', instant motivation for an 'adventure' filled, full day!!

smile

I love the longer days and daylight lasting well into the evening. Always feel more energetic in the summer. Also love watching my toddler grandson enjoying playing on his trampoline.

I love days out with my family. We're planning to visit Chester Zoo next :-) and a yummy picnic is a must have too x

spending more time out of doors than indoors - especially in those lovely warm evenings when the light is so special.

The best thing about summer is being able to leave the French winows open and let the air and smells of the garden into the house

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 19-Jun-15 10:39:39

Can we choose to have the books downloaded onto Kindle?

Nonnie Fri 19-Jun-15 10:39:44

Enjoying the peace and nature of my garden, only bettered by the company of family or friends.

RAZZLEDAZZLE Fri 19-Jun-15 10:44:00

The smell of the grass, then buzz of the bee and the heat of the sun.

Joanne001 Fri 19-Jun-15 10:46:55

My favourite thing about the summer is the kids being off school. No routine, no homework, no stressed out mornings. Everything and everyone is more relaxed and it's just a time for fun xx

I love:
the smell of the sun on the grass; being at the seaside eating an ice-cream and licking the drips; the sound of insects going about their busy lives; picnics in the countryside; the gathering clouds bringing the welcome thunderstorm cleansing our world.
I LOVE THE SUMMER

Sitting on the beach with the sun shinning down and it looks like diamonds dancing on the waves. I read that last bit somewhere and that's what I love about books, a good author can draw that picture for you. Something you remember long after you finish the book.

Not having to wear tights. I hate them. Prefer dresses/skirts to trousers/jeans but I HATE TIGHTS!

MadGrandma Fri 19-Jun-15 11:02:18

The longer light nights means I can sit and cross stitch in the garden - natural light is so much kinder on the eyes. And it means I don't snack or nibble if my hands are busy! Much kinder on the waistline too!

milkflake Fri 19-Jun-15 11:05:17

I always feel guilty sitting reading during the day, feel I should be doing housewifely ! In summer sitting in the garden with a book I don't feel guilty at all, I love it smile

gran1 Fri 19-Jun-15 11:05:47

having the backdoor open all day and popping in and out of the garden in the sunshine

inishowen Fri 19-Jun-15 11:06:43

I love summer car boot sales. It's so nice to wander around in the sunshine, and everyone seems to cheerful!

Pamish Fri 19-Jun-15 11:08:17

I love the way that people's faces are more open and relaxed.
