How many others would be interested in reading Harry & Meghan's biography as I would ?

Anniebach Tue 05-May-20 17:36:17

Diana use to co operate with the press, tip them off when she
wanted to be photographed, remember the photograph of her
in a operating theatre , hair covered, mask on and diamond
earings !

Priceless - spot on merlotgran!

While I have some sympathy for Harry & Meghan - I won't be buying or reading this. At their young ages, it is hardly a biography, and as some others have said - I'm not convinced it would be "without bias". Perhaps in time!

Daisyboots - your comment "I was totally finished with Harry when he was filmed at the Commonwealth Day service saying something to MM and she smiled back. The smirk on his face showed a very unpleasant person." really sums it up for me as well, I thought exactly the same - it was very uncomfortable to watch TBH.

Sympathy?!! I can't find one thing about these two that generates even one ounce of sympathy! For the RF, the Queen in particular I have much sympathy, but these two scoundrels, not a smidgen!

Yes, I picked up on that too and can still picture it now. And William and Kate look incredibly strained, with Kate on the verge of tears, and madam sitting smirking behind her.

I dislike Meghan so much, disliked her as a two bit actress and as soon as they got engaged I know it would lead to heartache. I wouldn't put a cent in her pocket by either buying or borrowing this book. If they want to go away, go, but I don't think that they do.

Jabberwok Tue 05-May-20 18:40:30

Apparently tomorrow is Archies birthday and they are planning a video link with the Cambridge children!!! I wonder who will supervise that? Nanny?!! I noticed the smirky look too. Horrible pair! and the green dress was hideous!!!!

Lucca Tue 05-May-20 18:48:40

Anniebach. I’m still trying to understand why people can go on and on and on and on and on discussing this pair and saying things like “I dislike Meghan so much “. And “ horrible pair “
Also why have you started calling her Meg ?
Am also bemused by the anti Diana stuff, the woman’s dead after all.

Jabberwok Tue 05-May-20 19:16:28

I think you'll find that people on here are at liberty to discuss what they please. The OP is about M&H,so it's not surprising that they are being discussed. No one has to join in who doesn't want to.

Lucca Tue 05-May-20 19:32:07

Of course they are at liberty to discuss what they please, as am I at liberty to express my surprise at the number of such threads and at the “strength of feeling “

harrigran Tue 05-May-20 19:38:15

No, I wouldn't read the book even if it was free.

merlotgran Tue 05-May-20 19:48:10

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's biography has reached number one on the Top 10 Books in 24 hours New York bestseller list.

Omid Scobie, one of the co-authors, says, 'Well, this is a nice surprise.'

grin grin grin grin

Do you think he's a bit backward at coming forward?

halfgran Tue 05-May-20 20:14:00

According to an article at royal central.co.uk the publisher of their book is owned by Harper Collins, owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also happens to own the Sun newspaper. As it says in the article you couldn't make it up!

Anniebach Tue 05-May-20 20:14:20

What a way to make money

Polly4t42 Tue 05-May-20 21:11:57

No

jillyJo Tue 05-May-20 21:57:45

Does Harry not mind bringing more sadness to The Queen and Prince Charles?

Anniebach Tue 05-May-20 22:16:58

No if he did he wouldn’t act in such a selfish way, he knows the
load of public duty he has dumped on his father and his brother and sister in law but doesn’t give a fig.

glynis1234 Tue 05-May-20 22:43:15

No, not interested, he made his bed now he must lie in it!

Grany Wed 06-May-20 10:10:03

when a member of the royal family visits a charity, it can cost taxpayers tens of thousands of pounds – often vastly exceeding any increase in donations. The royals gain more in PR than the charities do in support.

Anniebach Wed 06-May-20 10:20:28

It can cost !

Often vastly !

Guess work again

Artdecogran Wed 06-May-20 10:20:59

Actually I would read it! I wouldn’t buy it but would be interested to know what it is they are actually thinking. As I understand it their problem with the famous letter was that only the ‘bad’ parts were published to confirm the daily mail’s agenda. I do like to hear all sides of an argument before making my mind up.

Callistemon Wed 06-May-20 10:28:24

Yes, just bung them the money via HMRC in the form of BACS.

Let's suck any bit of joy out of life, shall we!

Callistemon Wed 06-May-20 10:29:40

That was in answer to Grany
It seems to be out of sequence now

Anniebach Wed 06-May-20 10:30:10

Yes, but did the five friends only give the ‘good’ parts ?

Nothing would have been public if the five friends hadn’t
quoted parts of the letter
