Meghan, but not Meghan

Is that a critique of the book? I thought that this thread was about critiquing a book?

I would scarcely write a critique of a book when I have not yet been able to access the text.

Well everybody else seems to be managing to do that. The OP is a critique of the book...

I've just googled and seen Duck Rabbit read on youtube. I doubt the storyline would engage or mean anything to many children under two, and the illustration wasn't especially eye catching. You found it a good children's book then sw?

As I posted earlier apparently there are similarities to the story and the illustrations.

Perhaps you should remove your 'hating anything that isn't 100% in favour of M' spectacles which may then enable you to focus on what is posted and not what you think has been posted.

Perhaps you should remove your 'hating anything to do with M' spectacles which may then enable you to focus on the value or otherwise of the book instead of attacking the author with unfounded allegations?

BTW, the text of the book looks awful. I wouldn't buy it for any children I know. I like the pictures though.

Nothing "weasley" about it and used correctly in my earlier post.

Could you explain why you felt it was acceptable to repeat a rumour the truth about which you have admitted to knowing nothing? Is it just because you wanted it to be true and as it puts MM in an unfavourable light, you thought it was perfectly acceptable to post it? Or have I got that wrong?

MM does seem to be fond of "borrowing " ideas for her speeches and other activites.......I can't remember examples sadly, but if it turns out to be true that her book is very similar to anther book already published then that is a really "unkind" way to behave.
I can't get past the fact that she has detroyed her own relationship with her Dad plus her husband's relationship with his Dad. Then she writes about the importance of family bonds.
She needs to read "The Waterbabies" I think it was, with Mrs Do-As-You-Would-be-done-by".

Just love the hypocrisy on these threads. The RF willingly viewed by some as racist based on "rumour and not facts" because of that interview and the questionable word of two people, and yet despite numerous comments about the similarities, note the word similarities, I have at no time used the word plagiarism, these are all based on rumour and not facts.

Or could it be that the sales of MM hating spectacles are exceeding all expectations.

I get that MM is hardly flavour of the month but what I don’t get is why anyone thinks it’s acceptable to spread rumours about her plagiarising a book they haven’t even bothered to read. Is it not possible to intensely disapprove of her and everything she stands for without resorting to that ?
