He is a disgrace. Look at those people struggling every day of their lives to put food on the table, those two policemen last night on tv who put their lives on the line for other, the people that do all this charity work quietly for others. He is a weak, selfish, self entitled man, I hope his book is not bought by anyone. He and Megan go together. His mother would be ashamed.,

They have become a rather ghoulishly fascinating freak show.
They are getting more and more desperate and ridiculous.

The photographer is probably that friend of Meghan’s, the one who took the photo of Lilibet on her first birthday.

I shan’t buy the book, but will order it from the library.

I certainly won’t be buying or reading it, I’m fed up with his perpetual whinging when he’s a highly privileged, spoilt individual having incessant tantrums about one thing or another.
He wanted out. He should shut up and get on with having a private life the other side of the world ( but of course that won’t bring in the ££££ to pay for his lifestyle or suit Meghan who seeks attention everywhere she goes)
I cannot think of a less appealing pair of narcissistic individuals.

Harry has narrated the audiobook himself. Can you imagine?

I always understood that the expression heir and spare came about a few hundred years ago when the country had a great number of very large estates.

The owners were always concerned that their wealth and land would disappear to distant ( and in their minds, unworthy) relatives should the incumbent die without leaving at least two sons to ensure the unthinkable did not happen. If the deceased left only daughters they could not inherit, unlike the Royal family.

I don’t recall any historical references to the term being used in relation to the Royal Family, until the birth of Harry, when The Princess of Wales used it. I certainly have no recollection of Princess Margaret or Prince Andrew (prior to Prince Charles’s birth) being referred to as the spare. The term initially applied to the Queen after George Vth came to the throne was Heiress Presumptive, as opposed to Apparent, in case her mother should have a late baby who turned out to be a son.

It’s a lesson in perpetuating negativity.
Dragging up the ‘heir and spare’ business.
Why is he painting himself in such a negative light?
He’s making himself look pathetic.

Of course we don't yet know what will be in the book but if he is harsh about his relationship with Camilla we need to remember it's not long ago he said he 'loved her to bits' and she wasn't 'the wicked stepmother'. How can we ever know what is true and what is 'Harry's truth' (ie a lie).

Or in other words...

We don't know what it says, but if it says this one thing that is the opposite of what he said before then we'll all be quite entitled to be outraged about a man none of us has ever met and has no impact on our lives. ?

I'm hiding this thread for my own sanity...sure you'll all be delighted.
