I found that at first, but pushed me into trying other authors, so I suppose that’s a bonus.

I love BorrowBox for audiobooks. They are with me when I cook and clean and on long plane journeys. There is a waiting list for some books but this has encouraged me to try new and different authors. I like murder mysteries best but have enjoyed other genres too.

Pressreader is the free app for all newspapers and magazines (internationally), also available on a library membership card.

I use Borrowbox and Libby all the time for books to read, both very useful. Sometimes I browse Borrowbox by Genre rather than look for a particular book or author.

I've been using Pressreader with my library membership.

Finding it quite good for reading magazines.

I’ve been using BorrowBox regularly since 2021 mainly for audiobooks. I used to listen via my AirPods but now through my hearing aids. Absolutely love listening to stories whilst walking or gardening or even relaxing on a sunny day.
The number of loans does vary on which region you are in. I’m restricted to three audiobooks at one time and this includes reserves.

I can have 10 audiobooks including reserves.

Best thing since sliced bread! I use audiobooks when doing boring household chores, driving and bedtime/middle of night.

Another bonus listening to audiobooks via your hearing aids is that nobody knows you’re doing it!

My library allows 10 audio books too.
I prefer "real" books for ordinary reading so don't know how many e-books books I can have.
I put books into my lists and pop books in and out of that if my list is full.

Borrowbox and libby are both great, a fabulous free resource

I use Borrowbox now and again and find it really good, new authors I've not tried before as well as my favourites. Not tried audio books yet.

I find it easy to use. Library service online has search engine to look up books or authors. Can order them in from all round the county.
E books are shown. Some books don’t have electronic versions and some authors books are mostly in that form.
Often look up new authors I have seen recommended. Especially best selling ones! Lends you the book in this county for a shorter time than solid copy but loan can be extended on request.

Does no one else use Listening Books?

Can I just ask, those of you who use Borrowbox, what device do they download the library app on? I can't use it on my kindle so I have to read the books on my 10 inch tablet which is not ideal.

I use my iPad for books and my mobile for audio.
You can log in from more than one device.
